LusciousToad I have the original Sims with all the expansions and can’t play them on Windows 10/11. Apparently, it has something to do with the DRM on those discs, Safer Disc it’s called, I think , which prevents it from running on Windows 10 and later.
It’d be so awesome if it was released on gog.com!

The soundtrack is still popular on YouTube, and I’ve read that a movie adaptation is in the works. There’s still a huge interest in this game. Please, GOG, bring it back! AirForceBase The original game + all the expansions would be an instabuy at $60 total. I spent hours as a kid building the best house I could, but as a 12 year old, they were never good. The nostalgia alone would be fantastic.
slipd0g You gave us SimCity it would be rude not to add The Sims, at least The Sims 1 and 2 complete with the packs, since they are pretty much abandonware at this point and the only way to play the two games is to download illegally or hunt down the game discs along with all there DLC discs , it would be a insta buy for both games for me!

A lot of games will never be published in the gog store it is a fact! For different reasons many games will never be published in the gog store - fuck_DRM policy (or at least gog trying to pretend DRM-free), absurd terms of cooperation that gog is pushing, support policy that is completely frustrating and disappointing, and of course non-professional personnel.

AnakiMana I have all my original discs and game cases/codes, but The Sims needs to be easily available and easy to get working. I think I'm going to have to create virtual disc images and use a VM, and it sounds like this project will take me a whole weekend. I'd rather throw more money at this problem and be done with it.
