arc.of.the.stem: is there a way to play The Witcher with the original Polish speech and English subtitles?

Sure. That is one of the nice EE features. EE consist all the languages done for the game so far. As far as I remember there is 9 different languages for voices and 10 for texts (Chinese has no voiceovers;). The cool stuff is, that EE all over the world (no matter where you buy) consist all languages, and the second cool stuff is that you can change them on fly during the game and make any combination of VO and text.
So playing with Polish VO and English subtitles is possible, and it should be pretty cool. Polish VO were, from the begging, very good.
For more info about EE you can go here:

Tuco: Let me ask it... there is any chance to buy The Witcher EE from GoG.com?
I know it isn't an "old game", but... well, it's your game, so who cares?
I was aiming for Stardock impulse but seems like they are going to sell just the censored american version.

Greylord: And only to american (US) people; thanks again, Atari...
I don't know if this forum is the right place to ask, but seeing the thread still open, I'll give it a go: Mikee, will the enhanced version be available for purchase on spanish retail?; I heard (read) somewhere it wasn't going to be :(.

TW EE should be in stores in Spain as all over the Europe, from 19th of September. Version there should as rich and cool as everywhere (we spent some time persuading that this is the only correct way:) )
BTW: Regarding US censorship. Changes are minimal, I think only collectable erotic cards (no big deal and no real connection with gameplay). Anyway there is unofficial patch for this (tested by us, works fine:). And actually we think about making official patch, we just need to solve the legal problems, as the game is rated 17+ in US.

Greylord: So, finally, will the Steam version of TWEE be available worldwide or only on North America and Eastern Europe?.
There's quite a debate on Steam's forums, and we would like to hear an official answer from the CD Projekt guys (seeing as the Steam guys aren't answering themselves...).

I'm not sure if a deal has been signed for the rest of the world yet.

Greylord: You have another customer then! :)

Yuuuhuuu! I sold one more copy ;-)
(and now, each copy counts, as we're getting close to 1mln units
sold, and actually hoping that some time after EE release we'll be entitled
to send press release confirming this:)

fix-cz: I guess TW:EE is multilanguage worldwide.
But talking about languages http://store.steampowered.com/app/20900/ - on that site isn't mentioned Polish language. Looks like bug.

Yep, there is, surely, bug in description on Steam. Game is multilanguage worldwide and it cannot be different because that how it was on the final master :-)

canuter: If you live in the US, Canada or Eastern Europe, download it from Impulse (http://impulsedriven.com). Impulse is a Steam-like client, but the games they sell there are DRM-free.
No matter you choose Steam or Impulse, beware, because I think they both distribute the censored version.

Yes, for now, the release on both (in North America) is the censored version. We may have something to solve that at some point soon, or not, maybe. I make no commitments or promises.
That's because you can play the game in those languages if you wish.. so audio French or Italian, text is English or Spanish or whatever.. and you can change these options during the game as well :)

Deaderinred: Did anyone else get two game manual's and no game guide with their uk edition of the EE? i did.. i ended up dling the bonus pack from the witcher site just to see what i missed with the game guide.. wouldn't of minded having that in book form but oh well.

Looks like you have unique;) copy of TW EE. Seems like mistake on the production line. Anyway I'd rather go to the store, show your copy and ask to get guide or proper copy. Shouldn't be a problem (as long as it wasn't mail order, but they should be able to send you missing part, also Atari support should be able to do it).
GL:)

Deaderinred: It was an online retailer order, so i don't think i can get a copy of it anymore.. do you have a link or email where i can contact atari about it? not sure which part of atari to ask.

No idea, surely depends on from which country you are. I'd start from giving a call to this online retailer. Here, we'd send missed piece without big asking.

Olegdr: If we are discussing Witcher here's a couple of questions for the devs. Do the language patches completely change the language of the game? Meaning menus, text, books, cutscenes, whatever? As EE is simply not avalible here, I am considering buying the Russian version and then installing the EE patch and the English language pack. Will the game be completely in English for me? .

EE should be available in CIS countries (and in every country where oryginal TW was published, with exeption of Spain and Hungary). ND shipped small quantity but will be shipping more. Language packs change the game completly incuding menus.
Regarding protection I don't know what is the final result, but it was supposed to be as light and non-intrusive as possible

Greylord: I don't like to be left behind while other countries get the game :(.

Nobody likes:( It a great pity for us too. We do everything not to leave anyone behind. But still we're not 100% successful. And we really well understand it, here in Poland many years all games were coming out later than in most of the countries. So we know this pain...
If I get new info I'll share maybe something changed
