[url=http://www.gog.com/x11]Our holiday sale is here! You’ve been waiting for the chance to pick up all of our great classics at incredible savings, and that time is now. Virtually the entire catalog is 50% off from now until 2 January 2011. While most of you have probably clicked through and are getting games now, let’s let you know about the fine details of the promo.

Activision games are on sale until the 26th of December, so be sure to pick them up early. We’ll do our best to remind all of you via or [url=http://twitter.com/#!/GOGcom]Twitter about that, so be sure to follow us there if you aren’t for updates and reminders. Further, The Witcher 2 will be 40% off during this holiday sale, but the Witcher: Enhanced Edition is 50% off. Finally, there are a few games that are not in our holiday sale: in particular, Codemasters games and Gothic 1 are not included this year.

Our holiday sales are the best time this year for you to pick up all of the classic PC games that you have been waiting to get since you joined GOG.com; Santa also appreciates you picking up games on GOG.com, because that’s less for him to fit in his sleigh. ;)

Happy Holidays to all, and we hope all your gaming wishes come true!

timppu: What the... I could swear all three Gothic games were listed as "not included" earlier today... Maybe it was acting up or it has changed. Anyway, I have Gothic 2 already, so Gothic 3 will be my first purchase.
There was a wrong link in the news post that displayed all Gothic games instead of showing only Gothic 1 (the only Gothic game that is not part of the promo).

timppu: The site still seems to be acting up, sometimes I see promo prices and sometimes the original prices. Maybe I'll wait until some other time when the site is less busy.
The promo prices are currently shown in the promo page (http://gog.com/x11) and on the product pages (gamecards). Since the promo page has the entire catalogue + shopping cart + personal wishlist built in, I recommend using the promo page for all the holiday promo shopping :)

CaptainGyro: am I basically screwed or will gog support give me another email with the same codes for the games?
GOG support is swamped, but we will assuredly get you the game codes eventually. If you submit a support ticket and include all of the info for the PayPal transaction, we should be able to track it down and make sure you get what you paid for.

Reveenka: The Activision catalog doesn't seem to be on sale to me. I am at least not seeing any sale prices, just the regular prices?
avatar
Elbart: In the catalogue, no prices are adjusted, only on the pages of each individual game.
And the Activision-games aren't on the promo-page either.
Very confusing. ):
We're still having some issues with the price displays due to traffic. It should settle down eventually.

The problem with King's Quest (and other Activision games) not showing up on the promo page should be fixed right now. :)

SLP2000: I can't fing POD and Speed Busters on promo page
Both games are displayed just fine when using search function and/or switching to the "sports" tab.
avatar
SLP2000: The problem is - when I wrote my comment, I had no "sports" tab on the promo page. And I still don't.
Weird. What browser do you use? And could you please provide a screenshot of the promo page?
avatar
SLP2000: Firefox.
Firefox... what? Version number pretty please. :)
avatar
SLP2000: and screenshot is attached.
Are You using the "zoom in" view? That may cause the problem with the missing "sports" tab.
