As pointed out by fellow community members, TW3 was included in our Monstrous Fall Sale a few weeks back. Personally, I'd say wait and see what's in store. Ya' know, Christmas is just round the corner, and December is very much the time when miracles do indeed happen.... :)

paladin181: How about the miracle of getting the much simpler installer for those of us with the game plus expansion pass? I still have multiple layers of install to do for this game to reinstall it, where as people who didn't support the game during development or at release get a shiny all-in-one installer that's very much simpler to use.
If you wish for it hard enough, maybe that too will happen.

SANAFABICH: I do believe in miracles! That's it, I'm sold. Waiting for the next couple of weeks...
Miracles might also happen sooner rather than later...is all I'm saying.

You can use GOG Galaxy, which will solve this problem not only for Witcher, but for all games that have DLCs. If you install games using GOG Galaxy it will automatically install both the base game and all it's DLCs.

toxicTom: On the one hand I think TW3 should never be on sale. Because it's worth every bloody cent of the original price.
On the other hand I know (and first hand, believe me, from my own past) that there are people out there with not much money to make ends meet, a family to feed, who don't just have the money to spend - and who I wish should also be able to enjoy this amazing piece of software (and read the books! preferably first!!).

So I'm really on the fence here...

Tallima: I failed at Witcher 1. I just couldn't do it. I'm toward the end of chapter 2 in Witcher 2 and asked for the books for Christmas. I am seeing why the books are important. There are so many characters and locations and empires and kingdoms that it can be hard to follow the game.
Also, the books are VERY good themselves, even if you completely disregard the game (although why would you:)).
