Story:The player gets to play as NORAD or WOPR. According to the game's cover box, the story takes place 20 years after the film: WOPR attempts to exterminate humanity and NORAD tried to stop it. During a mission the player takes control of a vehicle and can change the controls of any vehicle the team has - for example, while NORAD has heavily armored and armed tanks and aircraft, WOPR possesses exotically futuristic mechs and hovercraft. Vehicles could recharge ammo by obtaining powers. A unique feature in the game allows the player to command their team to send resupply on ammos or repair damage units. I remember renting this game at the video store as a kid in the late 90's. Man it was so much fun! The two campaigns showing human perspective and alien invader perspective. I remember getting my best friend, my cousin or the rare occasion you could convince your dad to play the multiplayer side of it. It was instantly one of my favorite multiplayer game for the PS1. All around great times this game provided back in the day but I only got to play when I rented it. So GOG lets get it rolling....lol. Thx.
The game works in PCem on Windows 98. It does not crash, on opening map or unit info menus, like it sometimes does on Windows XP emulation. I would like to see this game on GoG in some sort of stable state or emulator if this is technically possible, as the emulator required is more advanced than DOSBox and requires a Windows 98 or 98 SE ISO file which is subject to copyright.
Pokémon Stadium 2While Pokémon Stadium 2 does have a storyline, progress in the game can be made by winning Cups in the Stadium and completing the Gym Leader Castle. When all Cups have been won and the Gym Leader Castle completed, the player's Rival will appear. Defeating the Rival will unlock Round 2, in which the player must re-challenge the Stadium, Gym Leader Castle, and the Rival in order to complete the game. But, they have different Pokémon and the difficulty is much higher.
Stadium:
The player begins by choosing 6 different Pokémon. There are 250 different Pokémon to choose from; including some legendary Pokémon. Pokémon tournaments take place in the Stadium. There are four Cups to participate in. Each round consists of eight battles, and every Cup except the Little and Prime Cup consists of four rounds, named after Poké Balls, that must be cleared to win that Cup.Action Science fiction Kids
