an amazing point and click adventure game that I played constantly when i was a kid on the ps1. i always wanted to play the pc version because it has more content and better video and sound quality but it's extremely hard to get running on modern systems.

I still have the 7 (?) CDs if you need them to upload the game :) As a kid who should probably not have watched so much X-Files (thanks for the nightmares Tooms), this one will always stay with me. One of the best of the FMV era

One of my all time fav games. I bought a playstation just to play this game. I never bought or played any other playstation game ever. I have a sealed copy of the PC version of this game. I even have the prima guide that comes with it. This is a very fun game, especially if you like the show.
This is in my top 5 favorite games of all-time, based on my favorite TV show of all-time. What a perfect way to encapsulate the show than to literally put you into an episode. FMV games were all the rage in the 90s and this one oozes the perfect atmosphere of the time, the show, the setting, and the world in that moment. I would absolutely love an easier way to play it than fiddling around with the discs on a PC or the inferior PS1 version.
Part of the X-Files phenomenon, this was what introduced me to the show as a kid (weird, I know), and I've been a fan ever since. Sure, Mulder and Scully are barely in it as it's a companion piece, but it was a fun FMV game in its own right that's surprisingly complex with its inventory and the like- so fun, in fact, I had to install my old discs awhile back to do a Youtube playthrough.
I never owned this game but a friend down the road from me did, and he'd come over everyday and we'd play it and work through the puzzles and it was really good fun. Made us feel like we were in the X-Files at the time.

An absolute joy for the fans of the series. This game has so much content and depth that really makes you immerse into the X-Files universe completely. I remember renting the game from a local PC game rent store, then making copies of it and creating my own boxed version... Later on I was lucky to find one original copy in US Ebay, which I've bought and hold it very dearly in my home office. FMV masterpiece!

Probably my favorite game of all time considering how often I used to replay it. I LOVE The X-Files. The PS2 game is trash. The PSX version of this game is trash. We need the original because the old one won't run on any 64-bit systems without a LOT of tweaking. I used to play this game once every two years with a different intention each time: Piss off Asta, Flirt with Asta, Figure out how to navigate the forest route in Alaska, etc. I loved finding new ways to die and new ways to get a different ending. Plus, after the series ended, seeing our beloved FBI agents again was always a treat I wish newer fans had the chance to experience. Please bring it back so I can resume my playthroughs every 2 years.

It's a really fun game with a good story, supported by the cast of the show. My mom was a huge X files fan and I remember her playing this, she really liked it and I've also played it and loved it
Those games also need your vote!

Gandhara
GandharaGandhara refers to the capital of the Kushan Empire, (today's Pakistan and Afghanistan), founded in 1st century BC, whose rulers were Buddhists; it was one of the most flourishing Buddhist states in history. The story of the game, however, is based on pure mythology, featuring Buddhist deities in their distinctly Japanese incarnations. The protagonist is contacted by the bodhisattva Akasagarbha (known as Kokūzō in Japan, from the Chinese Xukongzang), who tells him that the world is in danger: the king of demons is trying to locate and neutralize the holy Ashes of Buddha, whose power protects the eight worlds. The hero's task is to find the ashes and defeat whomever the king of demons might send to stop him. One of Enix's works that were unreleased outside of Japan, Gandhara is an action RPG with rather simple gameplay mechanics. The player navigates the hero through hostile top-down areas, fighting constantly respawning enemies with sword or magical spells. Rations must be bought in order to keep the hero alive. Defeated enemies grant the protagonist experience points; once a certain amount of those is accumulated, the hero levels up and grows stronger.

Dead Zone
Dead ZoneIn the space calendar 0385, the Earth suffers from overpopulation and humans started to build space colonies. Kirk, the protagonist of Dead Zone, works for the Earth federation's space development office. He is a brilliant engineer in space physics and he is working for Sirius third planet colony. He also got engaged with his beloved girlfriend Marry, but they had to postpone their wedding. Five months later, Kirk, accompanied with his robot Carry, decides to meet Marry at last, and prepare the ceremony. But when he arrives at the space station, everything is quiet. Then a beam of light hits him. He wakes up sometimes later, inside a sort of underground graveyard, pieces of dismantled robots surrounding him. The player proceeds through the game by choosing from a selection of text menu commands. Like any traditional digital comic/text adventure games, a large view shows the surroundings. The bottom of the screen proposes simple action commands, like see, take or push; however, the game is entirely in Japanese (although it uses katakana exclusively). One of the original features of the game is to use real sampled sound in some places, which is very unusual for the time.
