Played this a lot as a kid, replayed its early missions over and over again. After many years I'd live to see the end of the Good campaign- and finally make some headway in the Evil one.

I remember finding this game in my local library (a place i use to go to a lot to rent comics and games when i was in my teens) I really liked this lord of the rings game and it felt very different compared to the other LOTR game. In my 20ties i bought the game on amazon from a random person and i still own my copy today with many other old school games bought the same way (I'm 35 now) Would be great to get this game on GoG as it seems to be forgotten by time and many ppl don't know it even exist as people focus more on the other LOTR RTS game.

Playing this game is a joy for me. I lose myself while playing the game. Only those who have experienced it know this pleasure, it is indescribable. Playing a game of a movie you watch with pleasure and feeling like a member of that world is an undeniable pleasure.

Best game ever for me, but to play now I had to rip the CD and use a patch to rip the protection, this serie is unfortunately an abandonware. I hope GOG can find who own the game and buy the game to make it back and optimised for modern computer and remove this old DRM. We believe and you GOG
I grew up playing many, many RTS games, but this one always stood out to me. It was a very unique take on Middle Earth, and no other games have even come close to this one's vision. For this reason alone I think it deserves to be preserved in the GOG library, but it was also incredibly fun, with a wonderful score and captivating performances within both the Good and Evil campaigns!
Best game ever, If they add it, let's hope it's with a more modern and stable online experience. Before, it worked with Gamespy. Let's hope it now has the company's own servers, since the online experience is very fun.

This game is very dear to me. I've played this piece of nostalgy as a kid I'll buy it on the spot. Please give me a chance to go back there maybe even with a working multiplayer that would be something!

Playing this game every now and then since 2005. It is my nostalgia and recently restarted playing and working on it by modding some stuff for my taste. I just couldn't find the same taste in anything else like I did in "War of the Ring". It is my absolute dream to see it in here. I would play the hell out of it for sure. I'd love to keep modding even more passionately. Seeing some other fans around the world who love this game just gives me joy. Reminds me that we can indeed share the same past, nostalgia, memories and fun. Thank you.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
The Lord of the Rings: The Third AgeThe Lord of the Rings:The Third Age introduces entirely new characters which aren't mentioned in the books or movies. The game does relate to the movies by including scenes from all three movies, with new background speech by Ian McKellen (Gandalf). There are seven playable characters in the game which have been created specifically for it, as well a small appearances by characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Gothmog. The game covers events in all three movies/books, mostly with references to major events shown through cut scenes, or the scenes from the movies with Ian McKellan's narration. A classic RPG game, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has gameplay elements similar to Final Fantasy, where you have a party of characters, each with a different set of skills and attributes, who gain levels, making them stronger as the game progresses. Battles are turn-based, and let the gamer make different decisions on what they want to do to change the outcome of the battle. The game travels through many areas throughout Tolkien's Middle Earth, including The Pelennor Fields and Moria.

Resident Evil 1.5
Resident Evil 1.5Resident Evil 1.5 / Biohazard 1.5 (also known as BIOHAZARD 2 PROTOTYPE) is the development name given to the first iteration of Resident Evil 2, which was scrapped in 1997. As the game was approaching its May 1997 release date, the developers were dissatisfied with the resulting product. Rather than releasing a game they were unhappy with, the developers took the risk of cancelling the game and developing the game again from scratch.
