I don't dream for GOG to add this game... I CHALLENGE them to.
A rare game that infamously doesn't even work in virtual PCs. The only way anyone ever got it working is by buying or building their own Windows 95/98 PC. It has defeated everyone. You will submit to TFAPLFM99!
Even if GOG get it running on a current PC, will they fix the glorious bugs? If you arrange friendlies, a random date is chosen where your save will crash. Could be in a month, could be next season. And 99.9% of goals will all be scored in the first half.
But if GOG do the impossible, there lies an incredible experience. Bizarre slowed-down opera as the music, stylish menus, Motson on commentary, all the glorious 90s badges and kits.
Football-wise, you have to pick an English or Scottish club. Whether you're coaching Steve Bruce at Sheffield United or Maurice Malpas at Dundee United. But after one season, you can move abroad - Rivaldo and Barcelona, Del Piero and Juventus...
But best of all, you can troll everyone: buy Maradona from Boca Juniors for one last adventure, fill your stadium with nasty kebab shops, surround the tiny away fan section with home support, and build garish hotels next to the railway.
You could play another round of Football Manager or even Premier Manager, but how about something very different? An experience.
Samurai Shodown VIAmong other series changes, aerial blocking was removed entirely, and the switch-around move, which enabled a player to shift quickly behind the other's back, as well as the dodge (evade, side-step), in which the move virtually brings a semi-3D environment to the defense in attempt to use each sword more effectively.
One can no longer charge one's own "pow" gauge. The off-screen delivery man was omitted entirely from the game. The "CD combo" was added, wherein a player can press the C and D buttons together, triggering a strike that can be followed up by a sequence of button taps.
SNK also added a "suicide" move, wherein one's character forfeits the round. The bonus to this is that the one committing suicide will start the next round with a full "POW" gauge. Certain finishes also enable a "fatality" move in the vein of Mortal Kombat.
Jet Set Radio HDJet Set Radio HD is the latest remaster in a string of Dreamcast "hits" to see new life on download platforms, but Sega has been insistent that they've learned its lessons. The publisher has emphasized how hard it's trying to get things right this time, and for many, it couldn't have chosen a better game.
Jet Set Radio was part of Sega's onslaught of new properties with an emphasis on flash and style during the second wave of Dreamcast software, but it might be one of the more obscure. It's a game that almost everyone has heard of, but I think few have actually played. This was remedied somewhat with 2002's Xbox sequel Jet Set Radio Future. Unlike Sonic Adventure or the arcade hit Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio HD is the chance for many to finally play a game they've only heard about.
Nostalgia has the side effect of high expectations though, and Jet Set Radio HD just can't meet them. While the flash and style of Jet Set Radio HD remains untouched and unvarnished by a dozen years of progress, the rest of it can't stand up to scrutiny. Squirrely controls, camera catastrophes, and nonsensical level design make Jet Set Radio HD a better memory than game.Action
Jet Set Radio FutureJet Set Radio Future is a video game developed by Smilebit and is the sequel to Jet Set Radio. Similar to the original, it depicts a future Tokyo where freedom of expression is outlawed. The user plays a character in the GG's, a gang of in-line skating graffiti artists who skate around Tokyo covering up rival gangs' graffiti, knocking over Rokkaku police, and dancing to the electric soundtrack.
