Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006)

by Radical Entertainment, Sierra Entertainment
Genres:Adventure, Shooter
Themes:Open world, Action, Sandbox
Game modes:Single player
Story:The game begins in the film's final scene, with Tony Montana's (Andre Sogliuzzo) mansion being raided by Alejandro Sosa's assassins. But this is the point of divergence from the film. Instead of being killed by the Skull, Tony manages to sense him and shoots him down. He fights through his mansion, with many deaths on both sides. In the ensuing chaos, Tony sneaks to the front of the mansion, barely alive, and manages to escape in his car. Sosa is then informed that Tony's mansion has been seized and his massive drug empire has been reduced to nothing. Hiding in a safehouse located outside of Miami, Tony regrets the decisions he has made but swears revenge on Sosa.Show more

Sure this is a famous licensed GTA clone. GTA: Vice City took a lot of inspiration from Scarface movie. It makes sense an Scarface game of that style was going to happen. It's essentially what Back to the Future: The Game was to those films. This is a what if sequel to that film. You play as Tony Montana whose out for blood. It's sorta like Saints Row series in regards of taking over the city. It's basically a more violent, realistic GTA: Vice City experience. At times you felt like you're in that movie despite things. Despite a lot of platforms it was on. Still a lot of people surprisingly missed out on this game. I personally had it on PS2 a more expensive copy at that. For a licensed GTA clone of it's era, Scarface stands the test of time. It should appeal to fans of Mafia. But this is happening in Florida with a different crime operation. In all honestly, Scarface is surprisingly refreshing among GTA clones. Yes you may wanna expect to either die a lot or get stuck for a little while. But if you're willing to keep pushing forward. Then nothing going to stop you reaching the top again.
I love this game. I love, love, love, love this game. Buying an old PC port a few years ago and spending hours fixing it was worth it. Blasting "Push it to the Limit," blowing up enemy limbs with super interesting gunplay mechanics, selling yayo and laundering money, building an empire, exploring Tony's mansion...it's awesome!! The original movie is one of my favorites and this game is like a big old Scarface-themed roller coaster.

One of the best open world games on the PS2. may have been labeled as a "GTA Clone" but had its own style and many things that set itself apart. Really nailed the vibe and aesthetic of the movie.

Just release the game the way it is and let people patched it with the CookieMonsterPL Silent Patch + Fusion Fix or the Gangsta Patch that recompiled them both. Or better yet, patched the game and added the REMASTERED PROJECT that was on Nexus in it. For some reason, this game MAY BE IMPOSSIBLE for GOG to brought on because Music License is a B!tch to deal with just like Phil Collins with R* on the GTA Vice City games. Or was it up to the publisher? If GOG Team can deliver, good luck. If not, well...physical copies of the game isn't hard to comeby these days with just a simple NoCD search in it. It's just a dollar for me (roughly 16500 IDR).
this game surely needs a remaster i never had the chance to play it on my ps2 but surely i´ll get it once come out, it has a great gunplay and since i love the movie i consider this is a game the new generations must try.

Scarface holds a memory to me back in the PS2 days and I wish Sierra/Vivendi put this game on GOG during their early years, so executables can be just SNATCH and GRAB outta the archives. The Disc installation is crap.
Very ambitious GTA clone that explores what if Tony survived with a great system for drug dealing, amazing immersion of the 80's and the movie lore, one of the best GTA type games, needs a rerelease for sure !

My parents didn’t allow me to play gta games when I was little so I had to play alternative games to get. I love Open World games and when this came out I had not seen the movie so I also bought the movie and immediately became hooked to the whole aesthetic. I loved the music and the looks I spent hours just driving around getting into shootouts in the game.

I used to play this game alot, i loved the story, it's the most hardest games I ever played. Wished that "Scarface Empire" didn't get canceled, it was going to be a successful sequel to this game. I hope GoG Would add this game to the store, so I can buy it, all my money goes to GoG.

Space Ace II: Borf's Revenge
Space Ace II: Borf's RevengeAnother Laserdisc conversion of one of Don Bluth’s cartoons: Space Ace II: Borf’s Revenge continues the saga of young cadet Dexter, who tries to free his love Kimberly from the clutches of the evil nemesis Borf. In critical situations, the meek Dexter can transform into his mighty alter ego Space Ace. Thus empowered, he has to defeat Borf’s minions. Space Ace II is a essentially a cartoon strip in which our hero will encounter numerous hazards. You have to avoid traps and enemies by pressing the right key at the right time: cursor keys for movements, Insert key to shoot. You never control Dexter directly, you just choose an appropriate direction. Each of the 27 seconds-long scenes requires one to three keystrokes. If your decision is wrong, the cartoon will end with a death animation, and Dexter will lose one of his three lives. So you’re basically trying to keep the strip running. Timing is crucial; you will need to press keys in the exact second. Luckily, you’re allowed to save your progress at four fixed points. Space Ace II is ported to the PC from the original arcade Laserdisc version. The result is a cut version due to space restraints. Although Space Ace II comes on 12(!) low density 5 1/4" discs, most scenes are shortened noticeably.
