A great adaptation of a classic. Allowed for attacks on multiple borders. Used a new die-roll system. Lots of hours played! Not sure why this one has been lost to time.

a game that is better than the current free-to-play version of Risk on Steam. I really liked the little animations, the dice rolls, and the more true-to-form gameplay. It feels alot like playing the board game itself
This is a game I spent countless hours playing with my grandpa on his laptop. We still have the original disc for the game. However, it doesn't have good compatibility with modern systems. The main way to play this game is still on his original windows 7 laptop. The animated battle sequence and being able to roll dice quickly was one of my favorite parts of this version of risk.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment
Vandal Hearts: Flames of JudgmentA new entry in the Vandal Hearts series, Flames of Judgement follows the story of young orphan Tobias Martin as he bands together with his schoolmates to help defend his homeland against a rival kingdom. The story acts as a prequel to the original Vandal Hearts. The series' trademark isometric combat returns, now presented in 3-D with 3-D character models. Players attempt to position themselves tactically to gain an advantage over stronger (or more numerous) foes. Combat takes place in turns, with each side moving one character per turn. Each party member can carry two weapons and switch between them without using up a "turn," allowing them to shift quickly from a sword to a long-range bow, for example. Characters gain levels through successful battles, and increase skills with a particular weapon or spell by using that weapon or spell in combat. Many engagements expand beyond simple combat by introducing some sort of puzzle element, ranging from pushing boulders to protecting characters from attackers. Missions may also radically update their goals as progress is made. In addition to the standard game, there are also multiple endings and multiple "secret maps" unlocked across the regular levels.

The game first appeared only in Japan on Nintendo's Super Famicom (known internationally as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System). It has been ported with minor differences to Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. An original video animation produced in 1994 called FINAL FANTASY: Legend of the Crystals serves as a sequel to the events depicted in the game. It was released for the PlayStation Network on April 6, 2011, in Japan. An enhanced port of the game, with new high-resolution graphics and a touch-based interface, was released for iPhone and iPad on March 28, 2013, and for Android on September 25, 2013. FINAL FANTASY V has been praised for the freedom of customization that the player has over the characters, achieved through the greatly expanded Job System. Despite being released only in Japan, the Super Famicom version sold more than two million copies. The PlayStation version has earned "Greatest Hits" status, selling more than 350,000 copies.
