by Silent Software, Prolific Publishing, Time Warner Interactive
Genres:Arcade
Themes:Action
Game modes:Single player, Split screen
Story:Return Fire is the spiritual successor to Fire Power and it fits in both the strategy and action genres. You can take control of one of 4 vehicles, a jeep, helicopter, tank and a missile launching vehicle (but actually called The Armoured Support Vehicle (ASV). There are are two ways to win, the easier one would be to capture the enemy's flag by bringing it to your bunker with the frail Jeep. This is the main objective. The other way to win is to destroy your enemy, a secondary objective.Show more

This provides one of the mest multiplayer memories, when I was little, and playing this game with my little brother. The concept of capture the flag game with 4 difference vehicles, each with their unique strengths and weaknesses. The Jeep is fast, agile and can capture the flag. But it is frail. The tank is strong, but slow, and can't shoot the helicop, which only can be shooted down by the ASV. It provides many stragetically aspect to the game, and it's SO great as local multiplayer game!

Played this a lot with my father, it was a 90's multiplayer experience. Also I knew this games thanks to a Windows 95 Videogame Sampler, that had a lot of demos
The laughing skull when your vehicle gets destroyed and the dramatic classical music really provided Return Fire with a dark sense of humour. Sometimes me and my best friend would just decide to ground level the entire map. The game‘s slogan was: „Destroy! Destroy! Destroy!“ Good memories.

This was a great early multiplayer game. I used to play it with my brother and he would chase me down with a helicopter everywhere. You had to wipe out a good part of the other players base in order for the jeep to get in and take the flag so there was a balance of offense and defense you had to consider. FYI the game can be played single player for practice too but it's just shooting at turrets.
I had a 3DO in college and this was THE dorm room game when I was in college before the N64 Mario Cart. Have such great memories of blaring the music while having heated two person battles. Even the spark leaving the lightbulb as the game loads before Handel's Messiah is my favorite load screen opening... I can't believe this hasn't been remade, always seemed like the perfect two person mobile game

Bloody Roar 3
Bloody Roar 3Bloody Roar 3 pits 12 outlandish combatants against each other in one of the most ambitious 3D fighting games to grace the PlayStation 2. Returning from Hudson's widely acclaimed PS1 titles are Stun, Long and Jenny, each of who brings a unique fighting skill to the arena. During each bout, players build an energy bar based on the number of successful kicks and punches they land on their opponent. As the bar fills, players can then morph their combatant into terrifying manimals from beasts such as lions and tigers to moles. The morph, in turn, unlocks a secondary control system specifically designed with each creature's combat moves and appearance in mind. In effect, this offers players two distinct combat types within one game.

177177 is the number of the Japanese criminal legislation paragraph that forbids rape. The game, however, does just the opposite: it puts the player in control of a man who must pursue a fleeing young girl and rape her. The game has two gameplay modes. The first is a side-scrolling arcade sequence during which the player has to prevent the girl from reaching her house, and avoid the hazards on the protagonist's way. These include stones, barriers, animals such as dogs and turtles, etc., and can be avoided by destroying or jumping over them. The protagonist runs automatically, but the player can increase or decrease the distance between him and the running girl. In order to make the girl choose the wrong way and fail to find her house, the protagonist throws stones at her (these can also be used to kill animals and destroy obstacles). After the protagonist has caught the girl, the game switches into sex simulation. The player pushes arrow keys in a specific order to correspond with the protagonist's movements. The goal is to sexually satisfy the girl. If the player fails, the protagonist is arrested; if he succeeds, the girl marries the protagonist.
