Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006)

by Just Games Interactive, Midway
Genres:Fighting
Themes:Action
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Mortal Kombat: Armageddon brags a roster of 62 characters and sees the return of classic ones from the original Mortal Kombat, such as Reptile, Shang Tsung and Goro. The enhanced Konquest mode (story/adventure mode) improves over the preceding versions, but has a shorter length. There are now 64 arenas (including revamped versions of classic environments) which each have their own tweaks, such as the ridiculous amount of stage fatalities (fatalities are a fancy way of killing your opponent, including classic techniques such as the "spine-rip" or "arm-break").Show more

I remember being pretty excited for this game. All or most Mortal Kombat Kombatants (at the time) in one game plus they were all playable seemed too good to be true. Add in your own custom characters and a decent story and protagonist and you got a really good time.
why Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Should Be on GOG – The Ultimate MK Experience Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is more than just another entry in the legendary fighting game franchise—it’s the ultimate celebration of Mortal Kombat's legacy. Featuring every single character from the series up to that point—over 60 fighters—it brought together the entire MK roster for an explosive, all-out finale. For fans of the franchise, it was the definitive Mortal Kombat game of its era. What made Armageddon truly stand out was its ambition. It offered not just a massive character selection, but also: A full Konquest mode (an adventure-style story), The Kreate-a-Fighter feature for building custom fighters, The unique Kreate-a-Fatality system, And classic versus gameplay that MK fans loved. Whether you were playing to unlock secrets, master every character, or dive into chaotic multiplayer battles, Armageddon delivered endless content and replay value. So why should it come to GOG? Because Armageddon deserves to be preserved and accessible for modern players—DRM-free, with controller support and no emulators or complex setups. GOG is known for reviving classic PC titles and making them playable on today’s systems with ease. This game marked the end of the original MK timeline—a piece of fighting game history. Let’s make sure it’s not forgotten. Bring Mortal Kombat: Armageddon to GOG, and let a new generation experience the best of what Mortal Kombat had to offer.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was the last of the original Mortal Kombat series. Technically the second all-stars MK game after Mortal Kombat Trilogy. You have over sixty characters in an 3D fighting game. Just not as well done as Tekken or SoulCalibur series. You lack finishers for Kreate a Fatality feature. Although you still have stage fatalities that's easy to do. Like the previous two entries you can use your weapons during matches. There's a few variety of modes. The Krypt is notably downsized from the previous two entries. Konquest Mode seems like a huge left down from Mortal Kombat: Deception's version. Motor Kombat actually fun to a degree. Don't expect much with the endings either. It's one of those games what it does right is truly amazing. Sadly a lot of it is handled back. I do see people enjoying this MK game. The intro personally was my favorite aspect of the game. It just works amazingly well to get you wanting to play the game.

Soukou Kihei Votoms: The Battling Road
Soukou Kihei Votoms: The Battling RoadThe Japanese animation "Armored Trooper Votoms", released in 1983, was the brainchild of N.Shioyama (Ronin Warriors) and R. Takahashi (Gasaraki). Together they created one of the most beloved (in Japan) shows in the history of Japanese Animation. The series was later released (1996) in the US by Central Park Media. The series spanned 19 videocassettes, and quickly developed a small, but devoted fan following. Its 80's style animation turned off a lot of would-be fans, but those willing to endure the animation were rewarded with one of the best storylines (and also some really cool mecha designs) available in the genre. The series was so popular in Japan that games, toys, and models are to this day being made. Armored Trooper Votoms: The Battling Road is, the first Votoms game created, and is an incredible game. Utilizing the DSP chip (A chip implemented into no more than 15 Super Nintendo/Famicom cartridges) to create a Pseudo-3D environment, this game looks absolutely wonderful for its time. Since its release there has been 5 Votoms Playstation games released

Medabots AX: Rokusho Version
Medabots AX: Rokusho Version-Build your Medabots for battle with hundreds of different combat parts -Collect and trade Medabot parts, with many exclusive to the different versions of the game -Fight other GBA players in 2-player Medabot battles Part platformer, part fighting game, part pocket monster battler -- Medabot AX games (released in Metabee and Rokusho versions, nearly identical except for the starting bots and different weapons/items you can win and trade between the two different editons) has what could have been a lethal combo. The game is based on a frenzied Japanese TV series about kids who build robots and fight them against other kids' robots. It dispenses with the negligible story of the series in favor of the player just going in and kicking ro-butt over and over again against a series of faceless and recognizable foes.
