Story:Mortal Kombat is a 2011 fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios. It is the ninth main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and a soft reboot of the series. Although beginning during the events of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the plot retroactively revisits the earliest period in the Mortal Kombat series: the events of the first three games. The storyline follows Raiden, the divine protector of Earth, as he attempts to change the outcome of the Armageddon events by contacting his past self.Show more

I thought I had outgrew or matured beyond the gore in mortal kombat. I remember not seeking Mortal kombat games out aside from Shaolin Monks and Armageddon but constantly coming into contact with the older games because the franchise just belongs on every platform. Gog is no different and it was the biggest win for Gog to get the trilogy and even more amazing 4. Next gen and current pc have the newest and biggest games in the franchise but this specific game would shine so much on gog as the last Mortal Kombat before the current era of Mortal kombat. Not only does it have the best MK lore story but it also sports one of my favorite MK battle systems before the newer games went more cinematic. Honestly this is my favorite mortal kombat and nothing would make me more happier than getting to purchase it drm free and playing it on my favorite platform. Earthrealm needs Mortal Kombat 2011 on GOG to win the next Mortal Kombat.
this game was the revival point for mortal kombat, it saved the company and brought mortal kombat back into the modern game sense, the fact you cannot get it today anymore is a shame. this has to be preserved as it is a very important part of the history of the series
I remember watching the promo for this in high school. This game reintroduced NetherRealm to the gaming scene and solidified the franchise's reputation as the best fighting game ever created. This game is no longer supported by NetherRealms and is no longer available for purchase on Steam. The only method to purchase it is through piracy or third-party key vendors. I would love for this game to be DRM-free on GOG Galaxy. Fans have expressed a desire to play NR vintage games like this again. For nostalgic reasons. Come on Ed Boon, give the fans what they want!

Honestly the fact that this game is unattainable legally now is pretty ridiculous , This is probably the greatest fighting gave ever developed but we can not get it cuz of guest characters copy rights. this game should be brought back ASAP even if its without any guest characters its really Peak mortal kombat its the game that saved the entire franchise
Those games also need your vote!

Avengers
AvengersAvengers, sometimes known as Avenger, and known in Japan as Hissatsu Buraiken (必殺 無頼拳?, lit. "Deadly Ruffian Fist"), is a 1987 overhead-view vertically scrolling beat 'em up arcade game developed and published by Capcom. The game was directed by Takashi Nishiyama, who later co-planned the original Street Fighter and a few of SNK's early fighting games. The game takes place in Paradise City, where the villain, "Geshita", has captured 6 girls from the city. The player's objective (as Ryu or Ko) is to banish "Geshita" from Paradise City once and for all. During the game, the player can pick up powerups like the "Speed Up", the Super Punch, Grenades, Shurikens, Nunchaku and extra health. The game also features hidden areas on each level, accessed by breaking doors in structures on either side of the screen. The player's character has 3 normal means of attack: Punches, which are quick with short range, Kicks, which are slower with longer range, and the Roundhouse, which hits in a 360 degree motion.

Replicart
ReplicartAn upgraded version of the Arcade and mobile phone game Snake developed by Dual, published by Sony for the MSX 2 and later published again by Taito for the Famicom Disk System and PC-88. Replicart takes the basic Snake formula and transforms it, similarly to how other simple Arcade games (like Breakout to Arkanoid) were receiving contemporary make-overs for home console versions that expanded the basic concept and added plenty of extra features. In Replicart, as in Snake, the goal is to move a robotic snake in the four cardinal directions around a single screen level and collect items that will increase the snake's size. Once the snake is long enough the exit will appear and the player will be able to progress to the next level. Each level has a different smattering of obstacles that the player must avoid, which also includes any other part of the snake itself. Though originally released on the MSX 2 home computer by Sony, it was later ported by Taito to the PC-88 and Famicom Disk System. The FDS version saw the biggest differences from the original, as every ten stages includes a boss that the player's snake must chase around and shoot down before they are able to proceed. It also reduces the number of levels from 300 (in the MSX and PC-88 versions) to 100.

The King of Fighters '95
The King of Fighters '95The King of Fighters '95 is a 1995 fighting game produced by SNK for the Neo Geo arcade and home console. It is the sequel to The King of Fighters '94 and the second game in The King of Fighters series. It is also the first game in the series to be ported to other home consoles besides the Neo Geo AES and Neo-Geo CD, with versions released for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn and Game Boy. It was also rereleased in The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga in 2008 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Wii. The King of Fighters '95 introduces Kyo Kusanagi's rival Iori Yagami, and firmly places Kyo as the main character for the rest of the series. The gameplay of The King of Fighters '95 is essentially unchanged from the previous title, though it does introduce the "team edit" concept which would remain as a standard feature of the series. Using the "team edit" feature, it is possible to create a totally customized team using any of the available fighters, or use one of the default teams if you wish.
