As Generations ultimate(MHXX) brings even more hunter art and styles, G rank quest, it truly is the love letter to the old gen monster hunter, featuring total of six styles for all weapons and insane amount of monsters(content). It is a conpletely different game compared to new gen(starting from world) and it I hope it could release on more platforms for more players to enjoy this GEM
Played this after rise and it was great seeing all these monsters I've heard about but never got to hunt. It definitely feels less refined than 5th gen but the game is still a 9/10. Athal ka is probably my favorite final boss of all time.

It's the first time I played the old school style monster hunter it was crazy how different it was from the newer games. I hope you guts are able to preserve it
I have been playing MH since I was 9 years old. I remember the first time I played Generations, and fought Dreadqueen rathian. I got to relive that with GU. I got to relive my 4u moments of fighting Gore Magala for the first time. I'd love to stream the game so my chat can experience these things with me.

played on 3ds and then on switch. one of the most, if not the most, big and important old school MH games. a special title for everyone that want to taste the best of the old school MH. a masterpiece out of time.
Playing through the game on Prowler mode, annoying hunters with the cat quips they thought they could escape by playing multiplayer was a lot of fun. But it really is a fantastic celebration of the history of Monster Hunter, one that could only be improved with an official PC release.

My favorite Monster Hunter game, I come back to it every now and again. I have 3 characters on my switch, 2 have completed g rank and 1 of them has all the village badges. I'm currently emulating the game and am about half way into high rank, having this game officially on pc would be amazing.

Generations was my first MH game I played, back on the 3DS, and ever since I've played every Monster Hunter. MHGU is a fantastic upgrade to Generations and a great send off to the old style of MH games.
MHGU is a celebration of everything that makes the Monster Hunter series great. With its deep gameplay, staggering amount of content, and endless replayability, it’s a game that will keep you hooked for hundreds of hours. I love the hunting arts and hunter starts system so much

I been playing monster hunter for more than 10 years, and I feel this is the best monster hunter, not because it has a lot of content, but because the mechanics and the styles are organic for the franchise without losing that esthetic or charisma the saga has. I believe that this game is a fundamental piece for the games after this.

Wild Arms 2
Wild Arms 2Wild Arms 2 is not a direct sequel to the first Wild Arms, although it is set in the same fictional world Filgaia, which combines elements of Old West, steampunk, and fantasy. The turn-based combat system against randomly appearing enemies resembles that of the predecessor, featuring techniques unique to each character, as well as the Guardian system, which allows the characters to summon powerful creatures to assist them in battles. Three combatants can be used actively in battles; the player can also switch any of them with a reserve character, up to six altogether.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur MachtXenosaga: Episode I - Der Wille zur Macht, the first chapter of a trilogy, is a Japanese-style sci-fi role-playing game, sharing many common themes and gameplay elements with Xenogears. The battle system is not unlike the one used in Xenogears (combo attacks, AP and EP gauges, etc.), but random encounters are eliminated. Instead, the enemies are now visible and battles can be avoided. During combat the few upcoming ally and enemy turns are shown onscreen, allowing the player to make strategic decisions based on who will act next. A rolling slot moves with each turn as well, conferring a bonus such as added damage or bonus XP for any action on that turn. If the enemy would be in position to take an advantage then the player can expend a character's "boost" gauge to cut in and act next, although enemies can boost as well, and enemy boosts always over-ride player boosts. Each character has a unique tree of Ether spells they can learn by spending Ether points earned in battle, with lower spells requiring spells above them to be purchased first. After a spell is purchased, so long is it does not require a unique talent of that character, the spell can also be purchased and learned by any other character that can afford double its normal cost. The Anti-Gnosis Weapon Systems can be equipped with different weapons and accessories and can be used in combat provided that a character has enough AP on that turn to board their AGWS.
