I was hooked by the concept video of PROJECT Re FANTASY even before I played any Atlus game, and when I saw the announcement at Xbox Game Showcase, I've expected it to be my Game of the Year, but now I'm glad to say it may be my all time favourite - with it's perfect combination of satisfying combat system and social sim elements with a true sense of "traveling", stunning visual art, creative yet unforgettable music, well-done world building, engaging characters, and most importantly, it's profound and inspiring narrative, Metaphor: ReFantazio is undoubtedly a modern classic. I can't wait to see what's next for the Metaphor IP, or anything Studio Zero could bring us.

This is by far one of the greatest JRPG's ever made. It needs to be preserved for other people to play in future and having it DRM free makes sense since it's a single player only game with some minor online elements. Also ..... it's not a fantasy game. All the fantasy elements are a cover. The game veers more towards the "fantasy" we seen in 40k or Star Wars rather than something like Skyrim or Game of Thrones.
Metaphor: ReFantazio profoundly impacted my life by blending deep emotional storytelling with engaging gameplay mechanics. The game's narrative, set in the fantastical world of Euchronia, explores themes of identity, societal roles, and personal growth. This resonated with me, prompting introspection and a deeper understanding of my own experiences. The combat system, featuring the innovative Archetype mechanic, allowed for strategic depth and customization, keeping me engaged and challenged throughout the journey. Building relationships with diverse characters not only enriched the storyline but also mirrored the importance of empathy and connection in real life. Visually, the game was a masterpiece, with its vibrant art style and dynamic animations enhancing the immersive experience. The eclectic soundtrack further elevated the emotional impact, making each moment memorable. In essence, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a fantastic game because it seamlessly integrates narrative depth, strategic gameplay, and emotional resonance, leaving a lasting impression on both the mind and heart.

Ristar
RistarRistar is a platform game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis in 1995. A Sega Game Gear game, of the same name and genre, Ristar, was also released, which shared similar themes while possessing different level design and gameplay mechanics. The game stars an anthropomorphic cartoon star who uses his hands and long, stretchable arms to both move and combat enemies. Reception for the game has been generally positive, but the game's initial release was overshadowed due to the imminent ending of the Genesis's lifecycle and the succession of the Sega Saturn and other fifth generation video game consoles. While never receiving any sequels, Sega has re-released the game a number of times digitally and on Sega-themed compilations, and has occasionally given Ristar himself cameos in other Sega properties.
