Steam already has it on sale in its storefront. I don't see why GOG of all places shouldn't have this masterpiece of a Stealth video-game franchise on its store as well.
I felt this would be the easiest to start with Metal Gear wise. I previously had Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on Xbox 360. An fantastic compilation game that could differ the amount of discs depending on platforms. You get five great Metal Gear games in one package. Sure Peace Walker gets it's own disc. But considering it's so packed with content it deserves to have it's own. MGS3 always been my absolute favorite Metal Gear game. You get a lot of bang for your bucks with this. Especially you always wanted to get into the franchise. This could be the perfect starting point.
I'd like to be able to recommend some of my favorite games in recent memory without having to include a billion asterisks, please. Bringing the Master Collection graphically to actual modern standards (4K textures, higher framerates) would be really preferable. I've sunk loads of hours into these on PS3 and would like for my friends to be able to have the same experience.
I played metal gear solid 3 after a friend told me about it, and i use this colleciton on ps3 to do so. And i believe mgs3 is still my favorite game from this whole generation and will remain si for quite some time.
The trilogy that made me a Kojima's fan. It was through this colection that I was introduced to MGS and I loved it. I want to play it again in PC, I used to have a X360, but I've sold it

the amount of content, story and such that it had about metal gear was amazing. Its one of the best ways to get into metal gear.
THIS is how I got into metal gear with metal gear 3, peace walker I sank like 500 hours just replaying and getting platinum trophy on it almost twice.
Very different games from very different eras (peace walker was a PSP game), there is also the PSX versions of metal gear 1 and such, I would love to have these games again.
okay to be fair, we already have MGS 2 and 3 on pc due to the legacy collection, but but but! MGS PEACE WALKER on the other hand, we need to bring to PC ASAP but having the original versions to GOG would be great !
peace walker is just a treat.. i remember expecting not much at all since it was as remaster of a psp game. long story short, it endet up being one of my favorit mgs games. phantom pain copied so many mechanics from it, that it should be called peace walker 2..

Nightmare CreaturesThe story behind Nightmare Creatures draws upon gothic horror elements of the 19th century. The story begins in 1666, when a devil-worshipping cult called the Brotherhood of Hecate were conducting sinister experiments in London so as to take over the city and then the world. The Brotherhood tried to develop an elixir that would endow them with superhuman powers. However, rather than creating their intended superhumans, their experiments created only grotesque monsters. When they decided to use these creatures as an army of conquest, one of their number, Samuel Pepys, set their headquarters on fire, resulting in the First Great Fire of London. The game takes place in 1834 when London falls victim to several evil occurrences. Monster sightings are reported along with news of people mutating into ungodly creatures, and that the dead are waking from their graves and walking amongst the living. Shining Force III: 2nd ScenarioScenario 2, Target: Child of God, features Medion, Prince of Destonia, and youngest of three sons of Emperor Domaric. Although loyal to his father and his country, he senses that there are other forces at work beneath the tensions between Aspinia and Destonia. He attends the conference in Saraband on behalf of Destonia, along with his brothers Arrawnt and Mageron. As discovered in Scenario 1, much of this influence comes from the Bulzome sect, as well as collaborating separatist factions within both Destonia and Aspinia. Medion works parallel to Synbios of Aspinia, often disposing of rogue Aspinian elements to spare Synbios's force from fighting against its own countrymen. At the end of the game, Medion is forced to battle with Synbios' force when Julian steps in to stop them.Fantasy
Shining Force III: 3rd ScenarioScenario 3, Bulzome Rising, stars Julian, a mercenary who appears as a secondary character in both Scenario 1 and Scenario 2. He is for all intents and purposes the true main character of Shining Force III. His initial motivation as the story begins is to track down and kill Galm, one of, if not the, most powerful member of the Vandals, a powerful race of beings that existed over 1,000 years ago. Julian believes that Galm killed his father and is seeking revenge. This story arc is first introduced in an earlier Shining game, Shining the Holy Ark, in which Julian appears as a young boy who asks the party to search for his missing father.
Julian joins Synbios in the midst of his quest in Scenario 1, but after an encounter with Galm, he is tossed over a waterfall at the suspension bridge and believed by Synbios' army to be dead. He reappears in Scenario 2, apparently washing ashore at the site of a battle between Medion's army and the Bulzome Sect. Knowing the sect's ties to the Vandals, Julian agrees to fight alongside Medion. As it becomes clear that the sect is trying to kill Gracia, a child intended to become the next Innovator (A Shining Series figure equatable to a god), Julian takes on the task of protecting him and helping him realize his destiny.
Scenario 3 starts about 60% through scenario 2's story, and focuses primarily on battles against the Bulzome Sect and their allies in both Aspinia and Destonia. While scenarios 1 & 2 happen at roughly the same time, much of scenario 3 takes place after both, but there is some "overlap". Eventually Julian leads a three-party coalition consisting of the armies of both Synbios and Medion, to engage in the final conflict against Bulzome, a powerful Vandal long sealed in another dimension, and the true orchestrator of the conflict.Fantasy
