I really want a functioning version of the MechCommander Series. I recently replayed it but it had so many issues, a “fixed for modern hardware” version would be a godsend.

This is one of versions of the tactical game that I loved as I was growing up. this game had LAN mode that I never played but I played Solo for hours and hours. The Salvage at the end of the missions can be great or terrible depending on how play each mission and I have found myself restarting the mission to get better loot like in campaign 1, Mission 3 you can get a fully powerful Clan Mech: The Mad Cat AKA Timberwolf if play it right and fast enough. I want to play this on modern computers and I'd be happy to pay for this instead of finding one online and the constant game crashing.

The original and gold are absolutely the best games I've ever played on the face of the Earth. I thought I was crazy until here I am in 2025 and I still can't get enough. To describe it to anybody looking for what kind of feeling you'll get from playing this and it's like fortnite on steroids. You know that feeling of getting a victory in a sweaty sweaty tight game of fortnite, it's the same thing here. I think what gives it its steroid effect is the fact that the strategy feels so much like war. The timing each movement you make every second you spend doing whatever you're doing ultimately decides the game. When that online mode starts, it's crazy how fast you exit reality in immerse yourself into a completely unique world that to this day is the top dog in the fun department. Honestly there's nothing better than a 3v3, and nothing better than a bunch of clans fighting each other for pure pride. Hope this game makes a comeback and honestly it wouldn't surprise me if it does I think console games are plateauing and I think we're all looking for games with exciting gameplay and this is it. If you're someone that likes to ADHD and be strategic and think outside the box but at the same time have a thirst for war, this is it.
My first Battletech game, loved it, sorry don't have it playing in full function; got a version that almost work tottaly but some important functions don't work and turns it less fun. The mix of real time strategy and Mechs was a great fun and loved altering the mechs to make exotic loadouts.
This was my introduction to the BattleTech Universe. Running around in Giant Mechs, awesome weapons, tanks, salvage, the strategy. "Oh my God, it's a Mad Cat !". LOL I played "The Gold Edition" to the end several times and eventually found BattleTech , BattleTech Advanced 3062 and RogueTech. This was the game that got me hooked for life.

MechCommander was a spectacular RTS that involved careful planning and execution. The rewarding feeling that you got when you salvaged a new mech from the battlefield was awesome. Different Mechs had different specialties and it was worth repeating a level to salvage a MadCat!! The paper manual included with the MechCommander games was literally a book of information. The MechCommander games would make an excellent addition to the GOG library and I would pick them up in a heartbeat.

I had known about the BattleTech universe for some time when I was younger. I read the novels, played the early MechWarrior games and loved all of it. When I saw this go up on store shelves when I was a kid I bought it instantly. The campaign is incredible, the visuals and cinematics are solid and the gameplay is easy to learn and have fun with. Loved building out a familiar mech chassis using pen and paper to keep track of all the stats and weapon loadouts. I deeply want this game to be saved for future generations so they can see what great games can look and play like. To have this game to play again on my modern machine would be a phenomenal thing.
I played MechCommander Gold pre 2005, more than 20 years ago. This game is the one that introduced the entire Battletech franchise to me, and I remember I played single campaign of MCG night and day. And I return to this game recently, and totally zoned into this game. There are robust single campaign and multiplay community for this game at today, 2025 Apr 21. People can play this game using Windows 10 and 11, but because of compatibility issue, it is difficult to use MCG editor to create new missions and campaigns. Please bring back this game to Windows 10/11 with proper MCG Editor support, there are people who wants to not only play but also create new missions and campaigns for this game.
Those games also need your vote!

Monark
MonarkMonark, the “new school RPG” from former Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei staff, will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on October 14 in Japan. The story follows the True Student Council, which was established to solve the abnormal situations in the school. The protagonist, who becomes the deputy head of the council, chooses a buddy from four characters to defy the unreasonable. The main story has multiple endings. There are different routes for each of the four buddy characters. To make multiple playthroughs easier, you can also skip shared routes and advance through different buddy routes. Battles are command-based with a free move turn system. Increasing your madness will allow you to use more powerful skills, but if you increase it too much, you will go insane and rampage against targets both friend and foe, making it impossible to fight. There is also an “EGO” system, which represents the player’s desire levels of pride, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth. These change depending on your diagnosis and the choices you make, and also affect the demons you can employ as your “underlings.”

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Crimson Skies
Crimson SkiesThe series is set within an alternate history of the 1930s invented by Weisman and McCoy. Within this divergent timeline, the United States has collapsed, and air travel has become the most popular mode of transportation in North America; as a result, air pirates thrive in the world of Crimson Skies. In describing the concept of Crimson Skies, Jordan Weisman stated he wanted to "take the idea of 16th century Caribbean piracy and translate into a 1930s American setting."
