Raising the gun vertically ducks, reloading the gun and avoiding marked enemy fire and melee range attacks. Additional health and ammunition are contained a item creates, and bonus points can be gained by shooting difficult to hit targets or completing secret objectives. Some stages also come with optional objectives, such as defending Solomon from a missile barrage or shooting down more targets than Char.
