Story:Herrscher der Meere is a traditional German business simulation game. The player trades goods, explores ports or becomes a pirate. The player first needs to buy a ship out of five different ship types, then some goods needs to be acquired in order to become a trader. The game proceeds in real time and makes it possible to see other ships sail on the map as well as battle them. Game with no known English release, and finding Nordic country release is extremely rare, especially since since each copy hold only one language, so buying a original German copy, won't give other languages.
I personally have Finnish copy of the game, and like most people, i too got it along side with from PC gaming magazine. I didn't even know that game have official release here in Finland at some point, and i was surprise to see it at listed in second hand shop. So i now i don't only have digital copy (that i found some time ago) but also two physical copies. (one sealed)
I love the combat, love trading, love Finnish translation of the game that is always rare to see. I highly doubt we get to see this game here in GOG, but if we do, i know a whole lot of people that would be overjoy for this, because most probably think this game, is nothing but lost media these days.
Es ist ein wunderbares Spiel , eines meiner lieblingsspiele meiner Jugend. Leider ist das Spiel sehr unbekannt, und ich hoffe GOG bringt es zurück. Schöne alte Grafik, tolles Gameplay... Ich liebe es
These are exactly the games I have a GOG account for. Ruler of the seas is unfortunately nowadays hardly playable without any players to get the game running. Would be really cool if there was a digital version here.
