The Diablo 3 that should-have-been! From the Diablo 1 and 2 masters, they pushed the genre forward. It's nearly endlessly replayable. They manage to keep up the tension and the terror from the first two games. I still play my Collector's Edition to this day. PS: Bill roper is also back to work on a new Hellgate game! I'm so excited to see what he comes up with! Hopefully that will encourage a rush of interest into the original! And I mean the original, not the Korean version, not the subscription version, not the free-to-play version, not the Steam version, the original was when it was at its best. Everyone else who handled the game tried to jam in microtransactions, force multiplayer, or cut the game into 3/5ths and make you pay to complete it. Yes, I've played a lot of different versions of it. :)

One of the best and most charming games I've ever played, despite its flaws that mostly stemmed from its troubled history since development. It was Diablo 2.5 before Borderlands, it aspired to be a "WoW killer", and Flagship's evident love for it made it larger than the sum of its parts. It was that love that earned it a cult following to this day, despite its disappointing launch and turbulent history since its initial shutdown. I've played this game alone, first vanilla and then with countless mods, and with my wife and dear friends in its Global and 2038 days - and its age may show but it never gets old. There's magic at its core that still draws players in, almost 20 years after its demise. As for why I'd want it on GOG, I'd want to see this game preserved in its original form and available to larger audiences. The original was never as widely available, and physical copies are increasingly hard to find - which may regrettably push some players to piracy. Community mods are also largely based on it, and the majority of its mod library isn't compatible with the Steam version that interested players find online today. Lastly, the Steam version is drastically different from the original version and I find it doesn't properly preserve the game's essence. It's a part of the game's history with its own value, but it's quite detached from the gem that Flagship created in 2007.

I have so many good memories of this game it's hard to express it. The original had some kind of magic that made it impossible not to play it. For me will always be a classic and a must have. Had the chance to even play the Global version and I was one of the last players online when the server was shut down forever, that was a very sad day. So many people I miss, crazy groups farming bosses all day long with lots of fun and laughs.

I have a physical copy of the game and occasionally play it still. A 3D spiritual successor to Diablo 2. The game play was solid, the classes varried enough to be fun and interesting, setting worked well. It's not a perfect gem by any means, but there is a certain charm that just keeps you coming back. While I can't speak for the steam version, attempts at re-releasing the game all seemed to lack some element of the original. For that reason, I encourage GoG to release the game in its original glory.
It's on Steam, but it seems to merely be a single player version of Hellgate Global, which has been altered somewhat from the original version. Therefore it would be good to have the original (1.2 I suppose) version here on gog. The game has some significant weaknesses. The story, characters and dialogue are quite weak and there isn't much worldbuilding. It feels rather MMOesque in the hubs. However, the loot and monsters are fairly well made and the environments in which the ARPG gameplay happens are decent as well. The atmosphere, music and visuals have their moments. The character models are frequently visible in the main menu and in the inventory and there is free switching between first and third person as well. The skill system is serviceable, but suffers from the same problems as Diablo 2 and Torchlight.

didnt get the bang for my buck i was hoping for back in the day. the game was re-released on steam but in a terrible state. the game itself had some great bones but its vision was never fully realised. it would be nice to get the game without all the bugs.
I never got to play this game multiplayer, it was dead before I discovered it. Only got to play a "special" single player version. Would love to experience it the way it was intended.

I love this game so much. I found out about it way too late, and by the time I got a copy it was already "dead" but there were some alternate online play servers at that time and I just loved the hell out of this game. There is a single player version, but it's not quite the same game. I would love to be able to play the original with some sort of direct online system or something so we can still play with friends online.
This was a game I was eager to play due to the trailers that came out for the game. That it was going to be the next big thing when it would come out. Even managed to get the books associated with the video game before it got release. Although I didn't get the game now on steam given it's current state and how most people that aren't too into the genre bounce off of it. I still want to play the game in a much more polished state regardless if it is even possible. Something that was supposed to be the much more definitive state than what we can currently purchase now. I really would love to relive a day I never got the chance to experience if this game were to pop up on GoG.

The Terminator: SkyNet
The Terminator: SkyNetSkyNET is Bethesda's last game based on the Terminator franchise. Originally developed as an expansion pack to Terminator: Future Shock, SkyNET eventually became its own standalone product. Its major features are an updated version of the Xngine allowing for play in the sharper 640x480 resolution (and the ability to update Future Shock to the same), a new single-player campaign, and a new multiplayer deathmatch component. In the single-player game, you must stop the machines from launching a recovered nuclear weapon. The story takes place over seven missions broken into various sections and "levels," with night progressing into daylight as the game goes on. The locations are also more varied and interactive than those featured in the first game, with levels like the basement of the Cyberdyne building, and a sinking nuclear submarine. Driving and flying levels return from Future Shock, as do the mission briefings, which are now handled entirely in FMV. The game seems to act as a prequel to Future Shock, with the most advanced technology and player weapons from that game not appearing in the course of the single-player missions in SkyNET. The multiplayer game allows for eight players over a LAN and two over IPX. The levels are contained recreations of sections or ideas in the single-player game, like a block of cityscape, a shattered freeway, or an open valley, and many can be played at either dawn or dusk. Vehicles are available in most levels, and unlike in single-player, can be entered and exited freely. You also have the option to play as a Terminator, with reduced movement speed, a little more toughness, and the classic red-tinted vision with information overlays.
