It literally evolved combat I think that alone is a good enough reason to have It on Gog but if another storefront had the collection it might allow its issues to be fixed
Halo blew my mind on what the perfect synergy between gameplay and storytelling can feel like. The original trilogy alone is a classic and this whole collection is one of the best deals in gaming. I would gladly pay for it again if it meant a DRM-free version of this gem.

The series has its ups and downs, but you cannot deny what the series did for FPS and consoles. It's a shame Microsoft doesn't show their love to GOG enough. This series deserves to be here!

I am a hardcore Halo fan, and this is basically a bunch of Halo games in one game. this gives you value for money. In addition, it is my childhood wrapped up into one game

I would EASILY buy a copy of this ESPECIALLY to play offline local LAN with friends. Just like the good o'l days playing campaign, Firefight, and a little head to head PvP. Not internet required. I feel like an offline copy should easily be able to use the "Lan Only" mode by default in the game settings.
Why Halo: The Master Chief Collection Needs to Be on GOG and Why It’s the Best Game Collection Ever Halo: The Master Chief Collection is more than just a bundle—it's a monument to the legacy of one of gaming’s most legendary franchises. It brings together Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4—each game remastered or enhanced, optimized for modern platforms, and packaged into a single, seamless experience. It’s not just a collection; it’s a love letter to the history of first-person shooters, and it absolutely deserves a spot on GOG. Why It Belongs on GOG: DRM-Free Preservation – The Halo series is iconic. Giving it a home on GOG means preserving it for generations to come, with no DRM, no launcher nonsense—just pure, timeless gameplay. Offline Support – GOG users value offline access. Being able to play the entire campaign saga (and LAN multiplayer) without needing to be connected is a dream for collectors and fans. Complete Story Experience – Few franchises offer such a cohesive, emotional, and epic sci-fi story. Having all the main games in one place—without strings attached—is something GOG users would treasure. Mod Support Potential – The GOG community thrives on modding. Bringing MCC to GOG could lead to a wave of community-driven mods, enhancements, and new content that could keep the series alive in new ways. Why It’s the Best Collection Ever: Six Full Campaigns – That’s hundreds of hours of gameplay across some of the most memorable, action-packed storylines in gaming. Multiplayer from Every Era – Classic maps, iconic weapons, legendary modes—MCC is a time machine for Halo fans and competitive FPS players. Remaster Quality – From the stunning reimagining of Halo 2 to the performance upgrades across the board, the care put into this collection is unmatched.

MCC has a lot of issues but it is still one of if not the best ways to play these games. Having a way to have the first 7 halo games drm free would be....well is can't even describe how amazing that would be.
Played this while living in a shared place with friends we played using a Mircosoft gaming station. This was fun. I remember fondly. Only played for a few years.

I've loved halo ever since I got reach and halo 3 for the xbox 360. These games are amazing chapters in gaming history and i've had many great hours playing custom matches and firefight with friends. I know it would be a unlikely edition to GoG but i'd gladly buy this again just to have a drm free version.
I grew up on halo. Its one of the greatest games ever created! I’m just not sure why its not on gog. I thought gog was supposed to have all your games in one place. So hopefully they correct that.
Those games also need your vote!
