From the Depths is the absolute coolest game of its type to exist. You get this huge moddable set of tools to make actual working warships in whatever goofy configuration you can make work within the physics, you program them to fight (or just pilot them) and then take over the world. It's a legendary game. It deserves to be everywhere, it deserves 10x its budget, it deserves eternal preservation. You will know fear facing the Scarlet Dawn, and true joy the first time you make a really good looking ship. And frustration as it tilts over as soon as it fires its 500mm custom cannon that you spent so long designing.
As a World of Warships player, I have to say it was a great ship "simulator" but turned into a complete goofy arcade, keeping only realistic ship skins (half the time), there is a complete lack of WWII battleship simulators or arcades that Function properly. I would love to play From the Depths for that reason. An offline game with NO micro-transactions, grind, and "balance".
