This is the remake of eXceed 3rd. The soundtrack has been slightly remixed, and there's an extra stage with a special boss (amusingly, depicted on the cover art). Rayne is back, but so are all the jerks she has to deal with (except Irias; she's somehow not a jerk). So the story has a touch of humor to it, in contrast with the previous two eXceed games which have more tragic storylines. The game is also reasonably accessible to inexperienced shmup players, being not that hard, though you still have to hone your skills in order to reach the extra stage!
