I found this game in a bargin bin at a pawn shop in high school and got curious so I asked Dad to buy it for me, what followed was possibly one of the wildest deep dives into biblical lore while it also being a spectical fighter.
Despite being a forgotten game on the PS3 and Xbox 360, it was later released on the PC, but no one cared about the port. I really wanted it to be preserved on the PC!! It's a beautiful game, with incredible gameplay and a very interesting story!
This game came out at the height of the military shooter era, so it largely went unnoticed by the game community. However, it has amassed a cult following and for good reason--it's absolutely insane. The screenshots alone show the game's kaleidoscopic, eclectic art style. A few of these screenshots don't even look like they belong to the same game.
Games like this need preservation more than popular titles, because these games will be forgotten if they are not preserved. GOG, to me, feels like a store that gives games a second shot at life. El Shaddai isn't dead by any means, but it deserves a surge of popularity that GOG releases tend to bring.

Cataclysm: Dark Days AheadCataclysm: Dark Days Ahead (aka Cataclysm DDA or CataDDA) is an open source survival horror roguelike set in a post-apocalyptic and fictional New England.
