Hours and hours of playing this with my brother.
Sometime we tried the additional scenarios, sometimes just the sandbox with a randomly generated world.
Building houses, castles, bridges elevators, mining dozens of meters into the depth.
And then, when all of that building up started to get boring, we just both amassed as many henchlings as we could and equipped all of them with whatever throwable we could find. This turned out to be surprisingly lethal for entire armies, even if they all just held a lump of clay: In this game one is free to control as many underlings at once as desired, all moving in union and as one at the behest of every key press.
Add to that the rudimentary physics were thrown objects are only stopped by static objects (mid air) and instead push back and hurt henchlings without losing momentum while on their short arc.
20 - 30 stones, thrown at once in union, colliding with an infinite number of enemy henchlings at once and each stone one is dealing a bit of damage. And if that wasn't enough, the henchlings could also do fistfighting simply by colliding with an enemy, so it turned into a huge mass brawl.
Throwing explosive flint stones lead to funny chain explosions and very deep craters...

Dune II: The Building of a DynastyDune II is often considered the first mainstream modern real-time strategy game and established many conventions of the genre. Even though set in Frank Herbert's famous Dune universe, the game is only loosely connected to the plot of any of the books or the films based from them. Controlling either of the three Houses, the player must fight a number of battles against the other Houses. In the early levels, the goal is simply to earn a certain number of credits, while in the later missions, all enemies must be destroyed.
The single resource in the game is the Spice, which must be collected by harvesters. The spice is converted to credits in a refinery, which are then spent to construct additional buildings and units. There are two terrain types: buildings can only be constructed on stone, while the Spice is only found on sand. However, units moving on sand attract the large sandworms of Dune, who are virtually indestructible and can swallow even large units whole. As levels progress, new and more advanced buildings and units are made available, including structures like a radar station, a repair facility or defense turrets and, for units, various ground troops, light vehicles and tanks. Each House can construct one unique special unit, and, after building a palace improvement, can unleash a unique palace effect.Science fiction

Each house has its own vice and virtue and the right selection could give the player right start to the game but he could learn as well as, later in the game with time. Once you choose a side, you to win the King’s challenge of producing the most amount of spice. It won’t be as easy as it sounds. For getting the control of the spices, the player has to fight over the other two houses by all means.
Dune 2000 is done with enough of stunt and live-in scenes to pep up the theme and there is a soothing sound score to add to the overall theme. It’s a game based on the Dune series book of Frank Herbert and gives the player a real pleasure of both combat and competition.Action Science fiction
