An underated classic right here, I remember spending hours playing this game back in the Original Play Station era with my brother, this being a single player game we switched places every tome we died, and we died a lot
The atmosphere! There's something about it that instantly takes me back to those late evenings spent in front of the TV, controller in hand.
The music, eerie and atmospheric, set the perfect tone for the dystopian world. The sounds of distant machinery, the faint hum of alien technology, and the hauntingly quiet moments in the abandoned outposts, it all made the world feel alive and foreboding. Every step you took through those dark, industrial environments felt like you were walking through the remnants of a world on the edge of destruction. The isolation, the tension, and the sense of an impending alien force creeping closer it wasn’t just a game... it was an experience that wrapped you in its world!
I swear, C-12: Final Resistance set the stage for my love of Dead Space. That same eerie, isolated feeling creeping through dark, abandoned places, fighting off nightmarish creatures, really hooked me. The atmosphere in both games is just unmatched.
ManhuntManhunt is a third-person stealth horror game. The game consists of twenty levels, and four bonus levels that can be unlocked; the levels are referred to as "scenes". Players survive the Scenes by dispatching enemy gang members known as "Hunters", occasionally with firearms but primarily by stealthily executing them in gruesome, over-the-top ways.
The player is rated at the end of each level, primarily dependent on the gruesomeness of the killings and the speed of completion, from one (unimpressive) to five (extremely competent) stars. Executions are preferred in order to gain a higher score, thus encouraging players to play as viscerally as possible. The game's locales are full of "dark spots" and shadows where the player can hide while being chased by the Hunters; hiding in these dark areas makes the player invisible to opponents.Action Horror Thriller Stealth
