I have never played this game. I barely even understand the gameplay from what I've seen. If I were to play it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even like it that much. I have tried to emulate it before, but Sega Saturn emulation is a joke and anyone who tells you it's viable is lying to themselves and everyone around them. Burning Rangers is an elusive cryptid of a game that I only have tangentially experienced through playing Sonic All Stars Racing and listening to the soundtrack and imagining how cool the game might be. And man, does that soundtrack absolutely slam. For the entirely of 2019, the Burning Rangers theme song was the main character of my cardio workout playlist and I would run at inhuman speeds whenever it popped up. And every time I finished a workout, I'd think to myself "Yo, Burning Rangers is the greatest game ever created" despite never playing it a single time. While it is fun to play pretend and push this baseless agenda, I would consider this is fraudulent behavior on my end. I do not desire to be a fake Burning Rangers fan. I need to play it for myself and craft a unique informed experience rather than pretending like I'm some 90's kid whose soul was set a flame by Sonic Team, when they popped in their Burning Rangers disc into their Uncle's Sega Saturn. That's not good enough for me. I want reality. We all deserve that reality. We all need Burning Rangers to be preserved and playable so that was can develop our own personal and real relationships with the game rather than wondering about "What If". There's so much strife, pain, and suffering we have to endure as human beings in this modern world. Do we really need Burning Rangers not having a modern port added on top of that? I don't think we do.

Never played the game but watched playthrough videos of this twice. The only negatives I could see for this game is that it is way too short, and I think it is an unfinished game. I can see with the 2D animated scenes, there would of most likely been other kinds of gameplay, more areas to explore, maybe get to know characters and maybe play other characters. If there be an updated finished version of this with better graphics and voice acting, it would be great.

I played the game while I was a kid and absolutely loved it. Sad it burnt in a house fire along with the rest of our saturn collection. Resident evil and Burning Rangers are my main childhood games I remember vividly from our saturn.
One of last wave of new games released for the Sega Saturn--after the Saturn's obsolescence was announced--and pushed the limits of what the Saturn was capable of and what 3D action games were doing at the time. Many much-hyped features (extra characters, a procedural level arrange mode) were locked off to second playthroughs, and I myself never beat my first playthrough because I randomly got stuck on what I think was meant to be a not-that-hard minigame that precedes the final boss, a boss I only actually got to attempt once or twice with months spent failing the stupid space fire truck sequence repeatedly. I remember being mesmerized by the game's whole vibe, and always treated beating the game as my white whale. I still have my Saturn, it doesn't work so well, and my copy of Burning Rangers, which seems fine, I hope to bang my head against emulating it but Saturn emulation is difficult in the best of cases and this is a demanding game. It's one of many IPs I wish Sega cared enough to re-release, perhaps follow-up, but this one holds a special place as a Saturn fan of the old school.
Those games also need your vote!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black Rock Shooter: The Game
Black Rock Shooter: The GameBlack Rock Shooter: The Game is an action role-playing game and based on the Black Rock Shooter franchise created by Huke. The players take on the role of the eponymous Black Rock Shooter. The game is divided into several missions in which the player must clear objectives to progress. On the main overworld, BRS can explore the available areas and look for certain items. Battles begin when the player comes into contact with an enemy on the overworld. During a battle, BRS can aim and shoot with her rock cannon at enemies, block against attacks, and sidestep to avoid them completely. If the player fires the rock cannon or uses the sidestep too much in a short time, the system will overheat, leaving the player vulnerable to attack until it cools down. Throughout the game, players can earn abilities that can be equipped to BRS and used in battle, each with their own cooldown periods. These include offensive attacks such as a powerful blast, a sniper rifle, or support abilities that can increase BRS' stats such as her attack or defense. Certain sections will also see BRS ride a motorcycle, in which she can attack enemies on either side of her or use weapons to fire in front of enemies.
