Legendary Battlefield title with amazing modding support! Would love to see the game available to purchase digitally with official multiplayer servers online again.
One of my favorite shooting games, I really wanted it. I was looking to buy, but it didn't exist anywhere else. And I found out that EA had removed it from their library.
As a long time BF2 player and modder I couldn't recommend this game more highly.
There are so few good single player fps games around these days, and the few that exist in this genre still don't match the excellent ai and dynamic gameplay of BF2.
The fact that the game is still popular, and is still being modded after 20 years says it all in an age where games die quickly.
I'd love to see it on GOG!
I consider this by far the best of the entire franchise, before they went down to the heavily-compressed class system of the modern titles that started with 2142.
Many great memories playing coop LANs with many friends that came over after school and just having fun messing around against bots and doing heroic last stands on points.
100% deserves an official re-release on GOG since EA seem pretty damn insistent on keeping this and 2142 in the dirt despite the numerous community revivals over the decades.
