Long before interest in Batman games erupted with the Arkham Asylum series, Batman Begins was showing us what a proper Caped Crusade looked like.
Inspired by the 2005 Christopher Nolan film, Batman Begins was and is still noteworthy for following the movie character's technique in its approach to combat--you didn't just beat down thugs with martial arts, you used fear tactics and stealth maneuvers. You threw smoke grenades and used HF (High-Frequency) Transponders to summon flocks of bats. Much like the film, there was a very real psychological component to the game--on that note, Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow is still terrifying.
So too were the locations compelling, each with their own identity. Whether it was the sewers and waterfront of Gotham City, its high-rises and skyscrapers, the monastery in the Himalayan Mountains where the League of Shadows dwelled, or the eeriness of the Nolan-verse Arkham Asylum, every single location was fun to explore and navigate.
Not to mention the Tumbler. To this day, it's still the greatest take on racing through the streets of Gotham in the Batmobile.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's RequiemEternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a psychological horror action adventure, released in 2002 by Nintendo for the Gamecube. It tells the stories of twelve characters that span across the world and two millennia who have to deal with ancient forces of evil which have been trying to manifest themselves in our world. Chapters take place in Ancient Rome, Persia, the Middle East, and modern-day Rhode Island. Throughout the game, the protagonists will have access to several weapons appropriate for their era, from bastard sword & gladius to flintlock pistol and shotgun.
The game features an involved Magic system, which allows different spells to be created through the combination of runes. These spells can attack enemies, dispel illusions, and heal both the body and items.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem also has a unique feature called Sanity. If an enemy sees a character, their Sanity meter drops. When Sanity gets low, hallucinations begin to plague the character. Walls bleed, voices whisper from nowhere, the camera gets disoriented. Sanity can be restored by dealing a finishing move on a dying enemy, or with spells or some items.Action Horror Survival
Spider-Man: Edge of TimeSpider-Man: Edge of Time is a follow-up to Shattered Dimensions, and similarly it has more than one Spider-Man takes a starring role. Here, it is the regular, classic "Amazing" Spider-Man, and Spider-Man 2099 – in a story awash in time travel, temporal battles, and Anti-Venom.
The backbone of this story seems to play out more like a Spider-Man 2099 story, since he is the only character truly aware of the happenings in the game, and the changes that both Spider-Men encounter. From the opening, things are bleak for Amazing Spider-Man who begins the game nearly dead, and 2099 is the only one who can help. A new villain Walker Sloan enters the picture with a plan to rebuild the past (from the year 2099) in his image and design, which turns to affect both Spider-Men. From this point, chaos unfolds in typical comic-book fashion with gameplay evenly split between Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, with every other level interwoven with the events of one Spidey to the other.Action Science fiction
