A semi-divisive game in the series, but in my opinion it's by far one of the best. The flow of combat is so exciting and satisfying to get good at. The boss fights are great as well, with the final boss being an all-time FROMSOFT goat imo. Not to mention the Online service for this game has to be one of the most interesting and experimental Online models FROMSOFT have ever tried, with Raid Boss battles and big Team Vs Team fights. If this game were to get re-released on PC, the modding community would have a chance fix so many of the console limitations this game suffers from, such as the terrible FPS. I love this game and it's one of my favourite AC games in the franchise.
The best feature rich for its multiplayer & by far the highest ceiling of AC games. Its no wonder ACVD still beloved by its community to this day. Its looks & feels like totally different usual AC games, the gameplay & the multiplayer are best highlight. But sadly, the server shutdown at March 31, 2024. That's mean interesting multiplayer modes like the PvP big team battles, PvE world event boss raid & faction teritorial metagame are unaccessible. That's why more people should experience & play ACVD with restored online multiplayer functionality. Its hands down best Armored Core with its multiplayer modes.

Armored Core Verdict Day is an excellent tactical shooter take on the Armored Core formula and would be a very good starting point for newer fans of the series to start sinking their teeth into. I would hope that multiplayer functionality is enabled if this game gets re-released, but if not players would still have access to the peer to peer free battle system and UNAC system to participate in online battles and do co-op with programmable AI partners.
VD conquest was a very unique and engaging way to play. The game is playable via emulation, but it's just not the same without CQ. If by some miracle GOG would be able to get CQ mode back online - you will make a lot of people happy. The numbers might not be huge, but the dedication is second to none.
My very first Armored Core game, believe it or not. It was rough at first, due to me watching videos. Mostly from Gen4, which gave unreal expectations for the both Old and 5th gens of games. I grew to love 5th gen as a whole, especially when I played the prequel, ACV, which helped me understand how it plays. I do love the improvements of the game made. Controls are more smooth compare to ACV. But don't think it is easy, as ACVD is still a challenging game. It is not like ACV, where you can call a dropship to re-heal in story missions. You go in and endure the mission's challenge. And trying to get mission sub objectives are not easy, especially early on. You also have UNACs, which are AI allies that can help you. However, early on when you get them, you need to invest first and modify the AIs on how useful they can be. This game also has a post game hardcore mode. With 10 challenging hardcore modes to choose from. Some more brutal than the others with limiting lives. And this is not before going into the multiplayer. Granted, I did not played the multiplayer that much until the final month. But you can play with friends or have UNACs to help you. Play in a squad or be the operator for the team. It was a good time. Some maps are exclusive to MP that made me smile since some of them were from ACV. Speaking of which if anyone is curious, ACV and VD are set 100 years apart. I do wish this game could have another chance in GOG. Some of the issues that plagued both 5th-gen games were not only no cross-platform MP but also region lock. So, a 360 player in America cannot play a Japanese player. Another thing is that the servers had conquest and special sorties that had MP exclusive bosses, which included rematches with the final bosses of ACV and VD, as well the Spirit of Motherwill from FA. Please, make this a reality.

Spacewar!
Spacewar!Spacewar! is one of the earliest digital computer video games. It is a two-player game, with each player taking control of a starship and attempting to destroy the other. A star in the center of the screen pulls on both ships and requires maneuvering to avoid falling into it. In 1971 it was unofficially ported into a coin-operated PDP-11 machine and renamed Galaxy Game. As an arcade machine it was installed at the Tresidder Union at Stanford University in September, 1971, two months before the official release of Computer Space, the first mass-produced video game. Only one unit was built initially, although the game later included several consoles allowing users to play against each other.

OXO
OXOOXO was a computer game developed by Alexander S. Douglas in 1952 for the EDSAC computer, which simulates a game of Noughts and crosses, also sometimes called Tic-tac-toe. OXO is the earliest known game to display visuals on a video monitor. To play OXO, the player would enter input using a rotary telephone controller, and output was displayed on the computer's 35×16 dot matrix cathode ray tube. Each game was played against an artificially intelligent opponent.
