Got this on the 360 when it was released, remember reading so much about the fire psychics and thinking how awesome it was that the fires spread so impressively and that wooden doors and similar things crumbled broke. The story was confusing, but I found it interesting how the like movie cut "previously this happened thing" was implemented, I had not seen a game do that before
Love this game. It's janky, yes, but very special and it's a shame there's not a PC version that both runs well on modern PCs and has all the content of the PS3 Inferno release. Correction to the description though, it's a sequel to AITD1-3, not a reboot. The OG timeline is: Alone in the Dark 2, Alone in the Dark (1992), Alone in the Dark 3, Shadow of the Comet, Prisoner of Ice, Alone in the Dark (2008) and finally Alone in the Dark: Illumination. It was Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare and later Alone in the Dark (2024) that were attempts at reboots.

I'd just like to mention there's a separate entry in GOG's Dreamlist for the definitive version of the game released only for PS3, Alone in the Dark: INFERNO, which fixed the most egregious bugs of the original and added extra content, including a new inventory system. Wouldn't it be cool to bring that one back? Because the version of the game this entry requests on GOG is already available on Steam, but to play INFERNO legally you'd have to buy an old PS3 and chase an old physical copy of AITD:I.

Ratchet: Deadlocked
Ratchet: DeadlockedRatchet: Deadlocked is the fourth game in the Ratchet & Clank series by Insomniac Games. Deadlocked is different in its counterparts in that it focuses more on shooting than platforming and puzzle elements. The game allows you to use two bots to fight along side you, which can be upgraded over time with better weapons and firepower. There are 10 total weapons in the game, significantly less than the other games. However, modding these weapons is more emphasized than before, with different kinds of Alpha and Omega mods. Omega mods can be used on any weapon, and range from the freeze mod to the magma mod. Alpha mods are weapon-specific, and increase the rate of fire, ammo capacity, and power. The game also features online multiplayer. Clank is not a playable character in this game, although he gives advice to Ratchet over his communication link.

Drakengard 3
Drakengard 3Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as "Intoners" have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions. A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 features the series’ signature brand of action, pitting players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash ground combat, and then sending them soaring for pitched aerial battles on the back of the dragon Mikhail.
