thainej6: I'm experiencing the same issues, and am very unhappy atm. Part of the big selling point for me was the fact that I could download this and have it ready to play on day 1, with the added bonus of no form of DRM. Yet when I try to play I am told to "use the launcher to register the game" and when I try to register I am told that "a connection with the server could not be established.
Registration is completely optional, so you can play without.

thainej6: Apparently if you want to play period then registering is a must, with the added bonus that its not even working atm. /sigh
I'll confess I've been to busy working to try installing and running the game; why do you say registration is a must? Is it impossible to bypass the registration?

amoc22: WTF this is bullshit! Connection could not be made, activation code wont stick WTF
I'll reiterate: you don't need to register now to play the game if you own GOG.com's version. Go ahead and have fun with The Witcher 2 and come back tomorrow when CDP RED has sorted their technical troubles and register then, perhaps?

phoenixblight: No you still need to activate the game and you can't unless ther server is up. SO just wait until its up.
You should be able to cancel registration and run the patcher.exe manually to get your game up to date.

[[EDIT:]]

I just checked your account. Since you don't have GOG.com's version, you may have to wait, sorry.

phoenixblight: I am not making this up. I go through the launcher click register game and put everything in and click create account and it says unable to establish connection.
Try the Universal Windows Fix For Everything?

(That's "reboot the PC")

phoenixblight: Did this 3 times now. Nada
Well, you don't need to register to play the GOG.com version, so I'd suggest you go have fun and register some other day.

predcon: Why are "English Text and Subtitles" and "English Voice-overs" available as DLC? Aren't they installed in the main game?
They're included. They don't show up as pre-installed, but they're there.
