When I equip a sword in NWN2, it has no point. It looks rectangular and ridiculous. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Some (but not all) swords do have blunt points. It may be worth checking whether your issue applies to every sword or just some.

If all swords seem affected then what graphics card are you using, and have you tried updating its drivers? Which version of Windows are you running?

I'm pretty sure you are seeing the actual shape of the sword. And yes. They DO look ridiculous.

NWN2 has a lot of bad art assets. Square headed swords is just one of them.

Check the vault. I'll be surprised if someone hasn't already released an override with a fix.

I recommend Adonnay's Elven Weaponry on the NWvault.

Contrary to what the name implies, it not only includes elven-style weapons, but also far more realistic medieval longswords, bastard swords, greatswords and daggers. Frankly, I can't imagine playing the game without these.

There's an override version that will replace all standard swords, both in the OCs and in modules. This can -occasionally- result in a bit of weirdness, where a brute berserker like Lorne in the OC suddenly carries a slender elven-style rhomphaia-like sword instead of a giant chunk of metal, but I still heartily recommend it because the originals are just that bad.

Yeah, I've played a bit farther now and I've found that most swords now have proper points. Nice to know it's not a bug. Thanks.
