Looks very promising. Pre-ordered.
the game did not encrypt the intro, so I converted the bik to avi, converted to h26mp4 and uploaded it to wegame.com

honorbuddy: I'm probably going to wait and see what the weekend deal on Steam is, and if I'm not interested in it I may consider getting this or Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Prey on gogamer.com with their sale going on now. Admittedly I just got payed a couple of days ago, but I bought a movie the other day, money disappears faster than I'd like it to!

Do NOT get Dark Messiah; you will be disappointed. That game was like ironing your foot on broken glass, except worse.

that was a long time ago, where five dollars got you il stormvik 2, farcry, bgae, and dm, if he was smart he got them both. and then proceeded to buy versions off of gog.com
Not five, $9.99.

This game is pretty awesome! So far, these are the things I have learned from playing Zeno Clash:
1. "Kek" is my new favorite made-up obscenity.
2. Anything going after you that fires projectiles or bites sucks to fight.
3. Like The Path, Zeno Clash displays that indie games CAN look like professional titles.
4. Apparently, people actually think SoulFather from Kreedz Climbing fame can be a powerful voice actor.
5. Stories that have qualities of a fable aren't played out entirely (yet)

I'm actually kind of enjoying it, at times I get frustrated and can see how the game is kind of broken, but I am still having fun with it.

The game is well-made. It remainds me "Blade: The edge of Darknes", "Zelda", and "Dark Messiah" too (well, their fighting part, at least). It's not a perfect game, but very enjoyable, it's hard and it's...surrealist...
We can add American Mcgee's Alice, The Path and Psychonauts as well.
I'm totatlly loving it. ^____^
Hmm... Finished after 4.2 hours of gameplay and ... I want another one :D
The game's... Well, the best meele fights in FPS history stay, IMO, in Dark Messiah, but those in Zeno Clash are interesting as well, thou auto-lock and unability to hide your weapon when not locked onto someone are some sort of punishemein in my opinion, since they can make the whole thing so frustrating - besides these 2 things, it all comes down to skill and reactions, which is good. I've enjoyed the fights mostly, so I guess they were ok.
Now, to the important parts:
Story. It kept me going, it was mysterious and very well-written. Yeah, I liked it very much - and it fitted in the world perfectly
Now, the game world. It's great. Fantastic design, there's always something to look at and some locations will be stuck in my head for a very long time, I'm sure of that. Characters were great as well, very diverse and... Well... Let's say interesting for lack of a better term :D
This game is definetely worth buying and I think I'll finish it a few more times. I want a commentary mode!
I'm glad I picked it up for $9.99 as to be honest, I don't enjoy it. It looks great and all that, but I don't like it. The game's just not for me. I doubt I'll be playing it much.
Looks short to me, maybe if there's DLC in the future or even an expansion, I check it out. Right now, I'm busy play WaW and other shooters.
What makes this game so good?
Does the retail have any DRM on it?
