bansama: And that's the last I'll say on the matter in this thread. My aim is not to derail the thread

Oh now where's the fun in that? As forum members we should do everything possible to drag the thread, kicking & screaming, off topic and into something totally different!
Destroying my own point here: Ubisoft WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Vandal: That being said, we did work with them to make this a worldwide deal -- that's worth something, no?

Maybe in the future. Although kudos on getting them to release POP SOT without restrictions as that is still restricted on Steam (and if I wasn't annoyed over the current POP treatment, I may have been tempted to buy it).
In fact, manage to get Ubisoft to release Dark Messiah on here region free and I think I'd be truly amazed and finally forgive them (that being one of the few games sold domestically although still at 5000 to 8000 yen [around 50 to 80 dollars] (depending on where you find it).
I already bought BG&E in Steam during their Christmas Sale. It was dirt cheap, so now I don't think I would pay $9.99 to purchase it again.
XIII was an amazing game. I would buy it in a nanosecond myself, but it wasn't precisely a success. If you are going to sell it for $9.99, don't bother.
I am still feeling the wave of epinephrine of seeing these surprize releases.
Hopefully Ubisoft has seen the advantages of becoming a bit more consumer friendly.
Hopefully more than a few eyebrows get raised with the other big publishers.
i personally thought for a big publisher it would be edios or id software not ubisoft well tis all good
can't we just celebrate the fact that gog has just added a major company with some very good games to their catalogue? and on a thursday after a tuesday with new games?
gog, you are too good to your customers. we are getting spoiled. I LOVE YOU.
Merci GOG & Ubi!

Gremmi: Hmm..they're somewhat overpriced... most of them can still be bought in most online stores like Amazon for a lot less than that, and even the usually overpriced Steam have several of them for £4.99.

Maybe Amazon has the titles cheaper but the shipping rates would probably put the cost above 10 dollars which is what GOG is currently selling the games for, specially if you are outside the U.S. like me. Also Steam has same prices as GOG except for Heroes of might and Rainbox which are not on Steam at all.
Verra verra nice. :) Once I finish a game I'm currently playing, there willl be several new titles headed to my C drive!
woah, that is awesome
Hmm...nifty. I'll definitely be on board for HoMM series and quite likely any other Fantasy TBS/RTS fare you can get ahold of, same for RPG's.
Now, to hopefully see the other publishers wake up to GoG and getting onboard proper.
Now that GOG has Ubisoft, that means World Of Xeen and MM6-8 are perfectly possible! I do want!
Do you think there's a chance of getting 'Evil Twin' on GOG?

Weclock: this is a big announcement.

Indeed, great announcement!
Release Sub Culture, please ;)
Great news!
Ubisoft's back catalogue has some really awesome games. Will buy Prince of Persia soon.
Cannot wait for Heroes of Might & Magic 2 & 3. Hopefully, they'll also release the Might & Magic RPGs. Morrowind GOTY Edition would be nice as well.
