I love the game but I will admit that the section with the Mortuary is quite slow. I don't mind sitting through the dialogue and finding some of the early memories in the mortuary, but it is a slower game to get started. It's a lot more plot and dialogue intensive than a game like say, Fable.
Still, even Mortruary can be quite interesting. There are several ways to complete it, as well as some nice secrets to be found (Though I missed most of them on my first playthrough).

Heh, on my first playtrough, I didn't even find certain woman and her tomb on the last floor :D And after playing it some time ago, I can say it's such a brilliant dialogue...
Yeah, as the rest of P:T is :D

Speaking of dialogues, Planescape was also the first game I was unable to complete in English. After few run-ins with Hive occupants I had to buy localised version. [crawls away in shame] :)
Yeah, when I thought I know english decent enough, Planescape proved me wrong :D

Maybe it's because everybody really wants to believe this, but I'm amazed nobody has asked about your source of information yet (including me). So, how exactly do you know this?

It's the latest post on CDP official site.

Thank you. Just checking ;-)
[EDIT] Actually, would you mind posting a link, because the latest post on the official CD Projekt website I'm looking at, is dated December 2. 2008. http://www.cdprojekt.com/
[EDIT2] On the other hand, here's something I didn't know. According to Wikipedia, CD Projekt made the polish translation of Planescape: Torment.

It's on the polish CD Projekt site(top right corner for local sites) or go here. Full article (in polish).
Oh and this probably won't help us any as CD Projekt probably only owns distribution rights of the localised version so GOG still needs to make a deal with ATARI to get the english version here.

From what I gather after running the site through google translate, is that the version also contains the full English text version.

Actually it's worse than Atari.
It's worse than WotC.
It's Hasbro.
You see, Atari and WotC are both owned by Hasbro, so Hasbro owns the rights to all D&D based video games.
.. And I, like others, could not get in to PS:T, of course with me, the story didn't grip me, especially because I hate the style of character the main character is. (Don't tell me to "play through the game" or "get past the mortuary".. I got past the motuary, and the main character failed to make me want to learn his story.)

I think you're mistaken. It's fully localised, as PS:T previous releases in Poland.
Also, like Petrell said, CD Projekt has full rights concerning Polish version & its distribution.
Darn. Sorry guys, i was so happy i didnt think rationally.
So it will be fully localized.
And i am really not sure how it is with releasing the games.
So i would ask to correct me if im wrong.
If the deal with game owner and distributor says how many copies they can sell, and how many releases of game can be. So if after such long time CD Projekt starts selling the game again in cheap series, thats maby mean they'w got new deal with owner, coz he wants to earn some more money. So my hope is they will want to make deal with GOG as well, to increase selling and get even more cash.
or maby im just self-delusing
(sorry for spelling, my english sucks)
It shouldn't be that difficult. It's possible to get it at gametab.

I' ve owned the game for years, but never really played it. Maybe it's time for my discs to be used once more.
