It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi there,
I tried to use the "search" option, to find an answer to my problems, but I have hundreds of topics that show up and that have nothing to do with my issues. I read the FAQ but nothing answers my questions. So here I post :
- How do you edit your post ?
- How do you "quote" ?
I can t find the options for it. Either my account is bugged, or I play too much gog games that I have become senile !
Thx for your help :)

What browser are you using? There's a very good chance, if it isn't Firefox or IE, that the AJAX functions aren't working with it.

Cambrey: Here is what I have.

Maxthon, which AFAIK is just another shell to whatever version of Explorer is installed.
And that other browsers wouldn't work is utterly bull, most alternative browsers even use either Trident (Explorer), Gecko (Firefox), or WebKit (Safari/Chrome) as the engine, Presto (Opera) is the only one I don't think is used for any third-party desktop browsers, instead it's quite popular in other devices (Wii, DS, and a load of other lesser known/thought-about ones).
Granted, those are the rendering engines, not the Javascript engines, but in all cases, that one too is pretty-much up to speed even if they differ, so that's nothing to worry about either.
As to why it won't wor for you, Cambrey, that's anyone's guess... do you have the latest versions of whatever browsers you tried? (Explorer 8, Firefox 3, Opera 9.6... though there's no reason MSWIE 7 and FF 2 wouldn't work, lower than that and I'm less sure).

Well, I tried using GOG on IE6 and it was fine, so any browser in the past ten years (!) should work.

I wonder when Lynx was last updated...

Actually, I figure it'd work just fine, depending on wether javascript is required for the site to work, or wether it's just enhancing the bare HTML functionality (as it should be, optimally).
And that other browsers wouldn't work is utterly bull,
I can tell you right now, that GOG's AJAX scripting does not fully work correctly with some versions of Safari.

Interesting, the raving lunatic inside me may actually be wrong... again. Which versions?
Safari 3.2.1 on OS X Leopard, and Safari 4beta on Win7 don't see anything strange.
Could you post a screenshot of what the problem looks like whilst running through firefox? I don't really know anything about Maxthon to help with that.
Thx everyone for helping.
It seems that Maxthon was the problem. Or at least, my current version of Maxthon. I did try IE (version 6.0, xp sp3) yesterday and it didn t work as well, and since I was falling asleep on my keyboard I didn t try anything else until this morning... I had to switch to Firefox to make it work. I ll stick with that for now.
Ha! I was right!
