Urnoev: I've used the forums actively a while ago, then had a long break.
I have a few free days currently and stumbled upon the GOG.com forum again and notice more and more hostility, that wasn't there before. Something feels of, I guess?

In many threads there are hints regarding the bad state of the forum and a few members seem to be angry at someone or something, but I can't find what it actually is.
As far as I can tell, there is something wrong.

Would anyone please give me a summary of the past events, or give me a direction to look at it myself? That would be much appreciated.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Simple, short and efficient description:

Many forum members are against the freedom (of expression) round here and openly demand censoring, agressive moderation and bans, enforced application of politically correct filters and so on. Exactly like other places do, online ones, or even offline, lately. They even went so far as to BLACKMAIL gog that they won't buy any more games from them the crybabies that they are and even convince other people to do so, unless gog "weeds out the members" that they themselves don't like, or get triggered from their posts. Nothing new, nothing special. Absolute Freedom and Total independence not to the liking of many people nowadays, i guess. Some people need babysitters, they haven't matured mentally enough to partake in conversation, use arguments, convince others that they are correct through dialogue and all that jazz. And snowflakes get triggered at pretty much anything! Finally, remember to ALWAYS use "ZE" instead of "HE" or "SHE", or else the forum will continue to suck

I was wondering, do mods ever downvote people, and do you get more than one vote?

What do you think?
