I was trying for some time to run this game on either Dosbox or Dosbox-X, but no matter what I've tried, I'm facing the similar issue.

First of all, I could not run the game at all from the .bat file from the folder on hard drive (created after installing), so I have launched it directly from CD's exe.

After loading crew into space shuttle and launching it, by some reason game have "crashed", as I could not choose the city, as instructed on the screen.

Now I'm wondering, what is it about :/ I see some D! signs on the right, so game has appareantly crashed, but that's it, I've run out of ideas, how to fix it.

If anyone had success with launching this game on dosbox (or any other dos emulator) and could share the config file for it, I would be very grateful!

Using dosbox-x v.2023-05-01 I experienced a similar crash but a bit earlier. Here is what I have done to make it work.

I installed the game to its default directory and copied the whole content from the CD folder into that same directory. I then used the Configuration tool (F11+C), opened DOS and deactivated xms, ums and ems. After starting the game for a second time I did not experience any more crashes.

As per your request you can download my .conf file here

Edit: Please make sure to delete the following setting at the end of the file because I forgot to.. *sorry*

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.
mount c E:\DOS
