It's interesting seeing so many Japanese devs going to PC by way of Kickstarter, you would have thought Japanese devs were completely stuck to consoles but it seems even they can't resist the "open" platform of PC where they can give away as many copies of the game as they like, which isn't the case for consoles.

Cool news. I wonder why it's not coming to XBone, also if they are bringing this to modern consoles, they definitely need to re-release 1&2 for modern audiences.

Shenmue 1 & 2: the best games of its time. I played and finished both on the Dreamcast and it was amazing.
It was too much waiting for this game but better late than never.

Hell has officially frozen over. I would have never expected. I am so pledging for this. One of the best Sega Dreamcast games ever!! I'm so happy, I know it will be a long wait, i don't care as long is its coming out, yay!

Since it doesn't look like a DRM-free version is coming I guess I'll go ahead and wait until it comes out in a bundle in a few years. Shame, but not unexpected.

Like rampancy was saying, the part where gamers are expected to assume all the risk is kind of shitty.

Edit: Where does one buy the Dreamcast emu?

darthspudius: it's a shame really, they've got very good stories. Though you could very likely just play them with a dreamcast emulator.

Grargar: Do the Dreamcast emulators even work well? Even if they do, the first is being sold for over £30 and the second for close to £60. :/
Bah just download them man. No point farting around unless you really want to collect them. Last time I tried the Emu it played perfectly.

I have no experience with the series whatsoever, but I'm glad they're finally going to finish it. :)

The best of E3 were, in my opinion, Unravel and Beyond Eyes.

(And The Elder Scrolls: Hearthstone Edition got my attention too :P)

Unravel seems like a cool idea. Simple and pure fun, artsy etc.
