Even if they fuck up the HD version, I can still play the original just fine, so no worries on my part; only some slight disappointment that they couldn't make Starcraft better.
Shit, I had a great ninja post joke ready and you two screwed me!

You know, snowkatt is one of the only people in here I can give crap too without her following me around pestering the shit out of me and or threatening me, and you are all ruining that. :P

I never played the first game, but I enjoyed the last 3 games. I'm looking forward to this one, thank you for the post!

Grargar: Ninja'd.
doesnt happen too often ;p
As long as the gameplay stays the same and they just polish the graphics it should be fine. Really hope they would do the same treatment to Warcraft 2 since I loved the naval warfare in that game.

more like tampering with the gameplay
what people want is very simple
better graphics
better resolution
same gameplay

shouldnt be that hard
lots of these " remakes" tend to tweak the game play too
the 2010 goldeneye is call of duty with a james bond overlay

Daniel Craig's GoldenEye isn't really the best example, as there were disagreements between Microsoft, Nintendo and the Bond license-holders, which led to a rerelease of the N64 version going nowhere. As a result, they had to do a remake from scratch and since Activision was the Bond licensee during this period, they ended up Call-of-Dutyfying it.

A better example would be something like Silent Hill and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, with the second one not even close to resembling the original game.

it was the first one that came to mind to be honest

the silent hill hd collection is also a fucking disgrace
they left the gameplay intact but bolloxed up everything else
Where's that HD remaster of Starcraft Ghost Blizzard, come on, you KNOW you wanna. ;)
I would be even more excited if it would come to GOG. Still not a bad move imho.
