While I know that the Pinata will not provide duplicate games, does this also apply for games on a Steam Account? I'd like to try out the sale, but it'd be a complete waste of money if I just received a game I already own through another distribution platform. So, does anyone know if the Pinata checks your Steam Library for duplicates? I do have the accounts connected through GOG Connect.

No, it won't check your steam library, evidenced by the numerous posts attesting to this in the Pinata tracking thread.


Something that has left many disappointed, along with no OS specific pools of fun to try your luck in.
Not a sale if you only use Linux/Mac etc....perhaps something gog will address in the future should it see fit to do this again.

It will not check it, but my understanding is that you can submit a refund request if you do not attempt to download any of the files and support will give you wallet credit..
