Sooooo Today, I Tried To Buy My First Game On GOG...

--- I Tried GOG Galaxy First
--- Then I Tried GOG.com

I'm Declined Because My Card Is In America Only...

GOG Is In Europe...

I Don't Know What To Do...

Does Anyone Have Any Solution For Me??

I Don't Know How To Resolve This Situation...

My Deadline For My Purchase Is Technically 2 Hrs From Now...
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
1. Contact support before deadline ends. Maybe they'll give you a raincheck discount code.

2. Get a payment method that works outside the US like PayPal.

Ya, I Contacted Support...

I Was Already Looking At Payment Methods
& I Had Trouble Finding One That Works...

I Am Seeing If There Is Any Way To
Handle This Another Way??

But We'll See What They Have To Say??

I'm In America, & Where I'm Located??

Things Are A Little Goofy Right Now...
(Politics Are Screwy Here
& Payments Online Are
Also Kinda Screwy, Too)
Relax .

Just wait for the next big sale . ( We Love Games ) that will start on the next week .

They also take any of these other payment methods. Apple Pay and Google Pay might work if you can deposit funds in there easily.

I don't have either of these...
The obvious solution is to get a payment method that works internationally, like everyone else does.
(edit: I got a prepayed credit card for that)

For this sale it's too late hoeever.

Just a heads up. In the US prepaid cards dont function internationally. The fine print even says as much. Some people troll on forum swearing on a stack of bibles they work. But the card holder must activate it and usually link it to personal information, before using it internationally.

There are customer service numbers you can call on every card as well to ask their agents, if anyone needs proof.

Ah, I didn't think of anonymous/unregistered cards, that's something you just don't find here (same as unregistered SIM cards).

Prepayed and personal information don't exclude each other. Mine is registered to me, just not connected to a bank account. I just have to reload it when it's exhausted.

So if I ever become a victim of fraud (again, happened before they increased security levels), it won't hurt that much.

I would like to have gog accept cash directly to them and they dump the amount after exchange rate/service charge into the gog wallet.

But I doubt they would do this.
Thanks anyways, =D

Guess that might be a problem for me then...

I Vowed I would never use PayPal again after my issues with EA...

I almost lost money, because I couldn't find anything to use
the PayPal Card with, & they tried to take my money, I eventually
had to withrdraw the money out of an ATM, & I was just not
happy with PayPal after that...

Sooo I guess, unless GOG does something,
i'm probably out of luck with a Payment over GOG with them...

That is too bad, because I wanted to try some Games,
& I hate STEAM, & Don't want to go back...
The GOG Team never got back to me over
my Support Ticket I sent them...

Geeze, for a Company that would be interested
in some Customers??

You'd think they would want our money, lOl...

They would respond right away,
but these People don't...

I guess they aren't interested in doing business
with Customers, & I don't know how a Company
can stay in Business with a slogan like that, right?

I suspect there is no obvious solution when the website does not accept standard payments... like any other commercial website would.
For example, consider the following situation:
1. EU credit card, four digits availability
2. In Europe
3. Payment declined "because your bank requires further information from you".

Of course it does. I have a 2-step verification on all online payments. I am not crazy. Normally, you would type everything in and then it would open a pop up and ask for you to confirm the payment via the bank app. Which type of on-line trader is unable to support a normal CC payment system? I am surprised.
