Love GOG. Are there any good multiplayer games with active servers/players playing? It doesn't matter what genre or how old the game is. I love finding old communities with players still playing. Would love to visit some on here.

Thank you.
Only one I know of is Age of Wonder but I do not even know whether they play all of them or just some or only the latest.
About 6-8 months back the multiplayer in https://www.gog.com/game/the_incredible_adventures_of_van_helsing_final_cut was pretty active. Don't have it installed right now so can't comment on player numbers straight away. But if you are interested in that kind of game i could quickly reinstall the game and check if there is still "a lot" of players or not.

Factorio has loads of servers and people playing it. It's also an amazing game.
There are probably a few Neverwinter Nights players/servers still going.
Sadly, the online GOG community is pretty much non-existent, right now. I have Dying Light, Torchlight II, Victor Vran, Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, The Last Blade, Metal Slug (plus and [url=https://www.gog.com/game/metal_slug_3]3), , [url=https://www.gog.com/game/worms_armageddon]Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party Remastered, River City Ransom: Underground and a few more (I won't list the ones I have uninstalled :P ), but almost no one is playing them whenever I try joining a lobby. I guess the "anti-online" feeling prevalent here on GOG is just too strong for us to have any sort of sustainable online community. I heard Absolver will have cross-play between Galaxy and Steam, and I sincerely hope that's the case, because if it's GOG-only, it's going to be pretty much dead on arrival (especially considering it relies *a lot* on the multiplayer/online aspect)...

When GOG started introducing dedicated servers and Galaxy online play, a decent amount of people were playing Aliens vs. Predator Classic 2000 (and even the sub-par Double Dragon Trilogy), especially during server stress tests, but those numbers went down and keep getting lower each passing day.

Your best bet is to just get some older game that works with something like , such as [url=https://www.gog.com/game/nox]Nox or FlatOut 2, and play them online using the program, if you ask me.

To be fair you can't expect things to change overnight... it's going to take probably a few years for GOG to build any type of online community and it doesn't help that Galaxy is still missing basic online functionality like gaming joining or VOIP, etc.

I expect things will slowly change though given enough time... especially if more games include cross-play... which a few on GOG are doing.

Tropico 5 has a good number players last time I checked online, but that was a long time ago... don't have it installed right now.

There is always games like Terraria to play, that game has player hosted servers so just find a server online and connect. A lot of people are playing it.

I totally forgot that I posted here. I don't mind about it not picking up right away. I love GOG. I might not have a lot of games compared to what I have on Steam, but GOG continues to improve and improve.

I'm not entirely talking about games directed by GOG Galaxy. For example. I know there are people still playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Jedi Knight Academy, and stuff like that. I do appreciate the responses though.

Thank you.
