Enebias: It kinda sucks, but since GOG is DRM-free if they applied the same rules as Steam everybody could buy a game, download it, keep it and ask a refund.
Which may seem great...

Until 2 weeks from the refund the game is updated with some major patch update that fixes bugs that the initial release has...

But with the internet where you can torrent/probably get it another way, does it really matter? If there's a will there's a way. While i don't want to tick off the devs, ticking off the players is a much higher way to not get them to buy future games.

Elmofongo: The money back guarantee states I have to contact the Support Team for issues a game might have.

My issue is bad first impression because I bought King Arthur: Collection from the Paradox sale because the game reminded me of Total War games.

But upon playing it, it just doesn't have the same amount of polish as a Total War game.

And I am basing this on Battles alone because the controls and the formation options are not as deep as modern Total War games.

I just bought this today and I know demanding now sounds kinda a petty but I expected this game to be of the same quality as Total War.
How about this? We buy all the games on Gog and test them and the one's we don't like, get our money back on? Are you kidding? There are plenty of Utube demonstrations on games to compare and yay or nay about, so why didn't you see before hand?

Mostly because the Paradox Fanboys who keep spamming the Total War forums that Paradox's RTS games are better and then I found out that Paradox made thier own Total War game in terms of Battle system.

So I took the fanboys word to task and installed it, and my first impression soured immedietly.

Lets just say King Arthur was missing crucial control features that should be standard in any game that copies Total War.

If you played Attila Total War's battles and then went to this game you will understand.

Well I don't understand what you mean. It has camera controls via wasd and qe. It has formations and formation shapes. It has pausible combat. It has a minimap. It's not trying to do everything to the depth of a Total War entry because it is, at heart, a roleplaying game first, and this is seen through your knights and heroes and the questing system.

It doesn't have streaching unit formation squares as in you hold the right mouse button and move left and right to strech the squares from thin to bulky units, it doesn't have alt-right click to pan the formations to whatever position you want them to be.

These 2 things are crucial to me and so far this game doesn't have it. I can't make the army formations and positions I want and because of that the game cripples me.

Unless of course I am completely dumb and missed the obvious answers and solutions to how this game plays.

Basically, do you want me to re-install this so I can give it a second chance?
Well there's always Thrones of Britannia over on Steam. Despite the mixed reactions, I'm thoroughly enjoying it and the time period it represents. But Arthurian legend is one of my geek buttons, and King Arthur pushes it. It's not quite history but not quite high fantasy.

Heck I asked if one of the potential DLCs for Thrones of Britannia was if it was gonna be a King Arthur themed one.

Just so you know my beef in the game isn't the Arthurian setting and backdrop. I like Arthurian and Fantasy in general. Heck what made me fell in love with Fantasy was Warcraft 3's Arthas story (which is pretty much the evil opposite version of Arthur)

I just had a very poor first impression on how battles controls and feels

I am downloading King Arthur: Fallen Champions (a stand alone expansion I assume?) which is much smaller in GB
I never picked up that one. My copy is on Steam, and as far as I know, it came with the Saxons and Druids and other DLC but that one.

I would of checked out video's on the game,no matter who said it was good. What's sweet for one, can end up sour for another.
This is the main thing where Steam is much more favorable than GOG, you can try games out and refund for any reason. But for Games in Development, the refund policy on GOG is amazing - unconditional for 2 weeks.

Atilla is from 2015, it's done by established and experienced studio and being backed by SEGA with much higher budget.
King Arthur is 6 years older than Atilla, was done by inexperienced studio and I would hazard a guess that its budget was much lower than Atilla's.
King Atrhur is enjoyable game despite it but it is not AAA game so shouldn't be surprised it doesn't have the same amount of Lithaunians, I mean Polish, as AAA games should have.

I think you should really take such things into consideration next time you purchase something.
