I suppose it all begins with the fact that i don't want password shit to log on to my own personal computers in my own house.

After installing windows 10 i had to go on the internet to find out how to stop it asking for a password.

So i assume i must have used a password before i did that but don't remember what it was, don't need it.

Ok everything is fine but I was never able to network my two computers, but no big deal, not really needing too.

Now i decided to try an old game 'supreme snowboarding' that i thought my five year old daughter might like.

So i want to LAN it.

I spent 4 hours last night trying to get my two computers to allow access to each other.

I keep seeing a stupid password box pop up.

I am thinking wtf this is my own two computers in front of me and i DO NOT WANT OR NEED A PASSWORD

wtf is wrong with microsoft? don't they get it? why don't they get it? Absurd.

Anyway, with help from the internet there was some home group thing that was able to solve the problem, but still, drives me nuts this password crap, never had this trouble in older versions of windows.

hehehehe, you think turning off password protected sharing works? Seems obvious rite? Be wonderful if it did, but, NO.

Now that i come to think of it, i think it did actually work in an earlier version of windows10 but the latest updates must have killed it?.... because that was the first thing i checked, it was off, yet still getting the password box pop up.

I remember last year i was not getting that password box popping up... i just could not access the other computer on the network.... i can see it in the network list, but clicking on it and it says you dont have permission blah blah type of message.
