considering the reviews it has got so far, it might be refused due to quality control. it seems censorship is not the worst issue with this game.
They claim they already started the talks with GOG. Let's not by hasty, people! I mean, i was the first one to criticize them, harshly at that, too.

But anyone selling their merchandise through GOG, earns my respect and almost automatically, my support. I have bought games only to say "thank you", in my way, that they made a GOG release available, in the past.

GOG offers uncensored games, so it can work. And the devs already tried to explain some things that seem to be censor, are actually graphical glitches and to be corrected, no less.

This time, i choose to trust them, on that one. Especially if GOG is involved, i can believe anything (within reason)!

The HuniePop way (which some of the new VNs go too) would be fine for me too. Release an "acceptable" version here and an unlock patch elsewhere. Subversion is also a way to fight censorship.
Give us uncensored games, GOG. Make people happy!
I'm Holdin' out a spark of hope for this to go through
Hope Gog will accept to release the AO version, because I can't stand censorship, so I didn't buyed it yet on Steam.
I know right. i dont know why madmind didnt try gog in the first place. i remember reading somewhere the devs did say they tried shopping around for platforms i suggested gog back then. the fact they are even talk to gog now mankes me realise they never tried to talk to GOG in the first place. i WILL buy AGONY on GOG over steam any day.. dont let us down GOG please! AO version should be allowed on here i would think. other AO only games are on here.

Yeah, that's all nice and stuff but... don't known exactly why, but I feel this game is way too much overrated even before it is officially released in full...
Watching reviews and footage around the web, Agony does not really seem a good game. Maybe even not passable.
Censorhip is indeed the last of its problems.
I remember I was unimpressed from the start, but if the final produt is really as they say, there is no way it can pass GOG's quality control.
And yet we got a very similar game with Inner Chains here on gog.
Which initially was plagued by severe game-breaking bugs as well, if I remember correctly.
They made a patch to improve game stability, maybe it can help to pass quality control ? I want to play this game without censorship, i haven't buy it on Steam hoping for an uncut edition somewhere.
They are fixing issues, as we speak. If GOG accepts and devs not lie, ergo they offer the fully uncensored version here, it is going to be worth a buy... If nothing else, to support groundbreaking design/decisions and enjoy the stuff, that SJ and PEGI losers, wanted to twist and prevent people from experiencing.
Just saw this: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/117203-ZP-Agony
That's about the only review series I follow (and often more for the comedy than the reviews, even), so while I had only heard about the game's bad quality before, this was my first instance of someone reviewing it as such.

Have people played it? Is the review on-point? Boring/broken gameplay interspersed with gore-porn that also gets desensitised/boring after a while?
Makes you wonder if the whole thing was just a scheme to drum up sales once the devs realised they didn't have a hit on their hands...
Honestly, I don't care. All this butthurt about censorship in Agony seems to be coming from people who either haven't played it or from edgy 12 years old who're sad they won't see in-game orgy.

Don't get me wrong; I also prefer non-censored games over censored ones, but with Agony the fundamental problem isn't censorship - it's buggy gameplay, it's absolutely terribly designed maze that you have to navigate through, it's about terrible brightness level (either you can't see for shit - not in scary but rather annoying way - or you have this white grin all over your screen)...

The non-censored version is only one of the steps to fix this game and it's not even most important one.
Upfront: I didn't play it.

But judging from the reactions all over the net it's sadly another game which is a disservive for people who see games as art and want them to be able to "show anything". I'm all for controversy and freedom of speech - but to advocate this, you really have to deliver a good - better awesome - product too.

Many of you know about the violence and blacklisting problem in Germany. Let's talk GTA: every game from that franchise had been blacklisted for "glorifying violence" until GTA 4. Then what happened? The feuilleton picked it up (better late than never I guess...) for being a brilliant satire on the American Dream - and it didn't get blacklisted. But that only worked because it really was an outstanding piece of art (not the PC version... but that's not the point).

If you can't make your game work, shine as an example of what games as an art can accomplish - you fail. Seems like Agony sadly goes down this way (like Hatred before).
