I think the problem is, that you want conflicting things. If I understand you correctly, you want your file sharing server to be:
1. free
2. not connected to one of the big companies
3. secure
4. invisible to law enforcement (or hackers, competition, whatever)

The problem is, good security costs money. Only big companies have the kind of budget, that they can provide a good security for free. BUT all of the big companies will cooperate with law-enforcement. Which is OK if the law enforcement has sufficient reason to get a warrant.

But if you are specifically looking for small scale providers you will either have a not-so-good security or you will have to pay for a good security. So you are out of luck, since your requirements are mutually exclusive. You can get plenty of services that fulfill two of your requirements. But I know none that fulfills all four.

The only solution: set up a server in your basement and handle the security yourself. But that, again, isn't free since the hardware costs money and taking care of security costs time.
So I guess as with everything else in my life, my goals conflict so much that they can't possibly be achieved. Wonderful.

Isn't it more grammatically correct to say, "I am woe"?

With modern usage of the language, perhaps, but then you'd likely also replace the word "woe" and make the phrase "I am distressed".

The phrase is present not only in Shakespeare's , but is also [url=https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+6&version=WYC]in the bible in a translation form 1382 (for example, the 5th paragraph of the linked Isaiah 6).

The expression is grammatically correct, but perhaps not in the current time.
Actually it looks like Sync supposedly has zero-knowledge cryptography, so wouldn't that mean that they wouldn't even be able to decrypt anything since they don't have the keys? I mean it's possible to crack it, but if the algorithm is good enough then they couldn't do that anyway.

However, "WHARRGARBLE RAGE" is not grammatically correct.

Nor is the first a word in the English language (or any other human language, as far as I know, which isn't very far).

"Woe unto me" he said, having watched the resulting turmoil of his posting a seemingly meaningless image to the forum.
And unto my desktop I haft downloadeth the Sync installer application, and usually upon opening ANY application, my computer vomiteth back at me a request for authentication before it will proceed. And yea the process doth generally taketh several seconds or up to several minutes until I finally get the message and am able to then clicketh upon the "yes" button so as to proceed to run the application. But this time no message ever seems to display, no matter how long I wait, even if I choose "run as administrator".

Wherefore is this a problem? I should be installing by now! And by the way this particular computer is about 7 or 8 years old and running Windows Vista (don't worry, I don't playeth my games upon it), but haft thou any ideas of wherefore such difficulties would be present?

EDIT: I've now opened the installer many times and not once has it done anything at all.

I looked in the properties and the file was somehow "blocked" by default and I had to unblock it! I didn't even know that could happen!
