Nice idea, but I don't think I'll be getting an oculus rift anytime soon.

Still might be ok without a rift.

Thanks, another interesting game you found. What seems cool to me, is that you can disable the horror elements and emphasize non-combat survival play. Making one of the caves your shelter — if that's what you can possibly do — is what I'd love to experience. A title to watch for sure.

It's still in Early Access, but I just thought since it's been a year since that release I'd check in.

To be honest, I just got it on the other platform because...

This is a really cool game, just I died of thirst and then the cannibals caught me and I free myself and well dunno, wanted to look up how to drink, I died in a pond full of water.

Stand at edge of ponds & look at the water, should get an option to drink. Small chance of getting ill though.
Or kill a turtle at the beach, skin (de-shell? ;p) the turtle. Grab some sticks.
You can now craft a water bowl that catches rain. Safe to drink from.
There's also a way to boil water if I recall.
Also, drink from cans, that kills your thirst too.
There's also a water pouch you can get from some places, don't recall where.
They mentioned adding boiling water in the pan at some point, not sure if it's in yet or not.

Thanks, I did find that and it works, built a small camp at the spot to remember the direction. What is really cool are the permanent buildings and if you load most of the supplies are back as well.

It also helps to change the colours from original to i.e. modern, otherwise the night is just plain black.

To save time & materials instead of a small camp, you can place flags. Requires stones & sticks, perhaps cloth too.

Saw something similar ages ago, where someone had cut a tree down & lost their entire base.
Their place was huge before the crash :D
