Bumping this thread to announce that I have just launched a DOS Nostalgia podcast, that I'll hopefully be able to maintain on a semi-regular basis.

The first episode is ready for your listening pleasure! My good friend and a former video game journalist Igor Artyomov joins me in discussing Russian video games (and the state of Russian gaming in general) in the early 90s.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the Eastern European accent-fest that this episode turned out to be.

Dos Nostalgia has an awesome video up called "MS-DOS games in 1993".

Youtube link

Plenty of nostalgia in there. A few games are already on GOG, many that we hope to see soon. This is just part 1, so there will be another video soon.
I was still using Win9x operating systems until probably around 2005, just so I could keep running my old DOS games properly (getting audio to work was a challenge, but there were still ways to do it). DOSBox finally meant I could switch to Win2K/WinXP and still play those classics (although some of them emulated very slowly with my computer at the time), and with even more accurate sound & music to the old DOS mode experience (yay!).

No problem - I'm glad I searched and found this thread first! I knew I remembered a DOS Nostalgia discussion from earlier in the year. :)

It's a great video and hopefully people enjoy it.
Here's part 2 of the 1993 video featuring over an hour of great games from over 20 years ago:
